They said PBF-JMM did 1.5 millions buys at first but it was later changed to 1 million. Most likely the numbers will be revised I will wait for the final numbers from HBO.

    Pacquaio-Cotto: 2 million buys?

Rey Colón of the ´El Vocero´ of Puerto Rico reported that the welterweight mega-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto generated approximately 2 million pay-per-view buys generating at least $120 million. No word on what Pacquiao´s cut will be but Cotto was mentioned to be making at least $10 million minimun.

If Arum said it's about 1,4 it is in fact probably about 1,2.

If this was really 2 millies, Arum would say 2,5 millie.

    Simple as that.

Floyd is already making excuses for this PPV possibly doing more.

"Cotto-Pac suppose to do more than PBF-JMM, I had no dance partner, they both have fan bases"

Yet going back to Brian Kenny interview:

"I picked JMM over Mosley because JMM is a big draw, he has a country behind him, a country".

    Trash.

PBF doesn't need excuse he already outdrew Pac with 3 common opponents.:deal Cotto isn't a common opponent.

Errr, listen to his interview, he is making excuses. No need to come to his rescue.

Sorry but that's irrelevant, Pacquiao has become way more popular after his fight against Hatton.
And JMM has a bigger fanbase than Cotto, if Pac/Cotto does more it's because Pac is a bigger draw than Floyd.

But I still think a 50/50 split is still fair. This fight wouldn't be as big as it is without either one.

Pac/Cotto didnt need any hype. They both delivered. 2 gentlemen can sell a fight. I hope boxing goes in this direction instead of these thrash talking assholes making a mockery of the sport.
