How can people debate who has the best resume????

Well he beat him on a split decision and then he got a draw, I haven't watched the fights but lots claim it was a bit of a bad decision maybe so I didn't want to comment on that.
I was just going on clear-cut wins.

You stated that they both fought Hatton and Oscar hence why you never put them in their lists. But they both fought JMM, so why have you put JMM in Floyds list? Because he won more convincingly? So in that case, put Hatton and Oscar under Pacmans list because he beat them both more convincingly.

All things considered, especially given Manny's rise from even lighter weights than Floyd, Manny's resume has to be considered more impressive. But it really isn't vastly better. Floyd deserves all kinds of credit for the two Castillo fights. Manny deserves credit for beating Hatton at 140.

And I'm in the minority here, but the clinic Floyd ran on Marquez (yes, older and heavier) has to count for something. Nothing in that fight suggested that fights between those two at 130 or 135 would have gone any differently.

 

Pac fought a prime JMM in two very close fights and if anyone was robbed was Pac cause if it wasnt for a mistake a judge made in the first fight he would've won both fights.

JMM was dead at welter that was nothing but a glorified sparring session.

so the argument is Floyd is undefeated right? Pacquiao suffered losses and draws to the *elite fighters* in the featherweight division. All of which he avenged. Can't say that about Mayweather because he doesn't fight the elite fighters too often. Pac has bested the likes of Morales, Barrera and Marquez (all three are legends). Miguel Cotto is now in the resume, (DelaHoya and Hatton are not to be mentioned since both Pac and PBF beat them). Tell your boy PBF to step his Resume game up, he slacking.

 

Resumes are very subjective topics. before he fought DLH, Pac was resepcted as a fighter, but no one was calling him a top ten ATG.

The all of a sudden he beats a weight drained DLH, a cracked Hatton, and a solid opponent in Cotto, and he's the greatest fighter of all time????

Pac's resume has names of fighters who were shadows of themselves while Floyd's resume is full of substance.

 

Except, your forgetting to note that he was a small man moving up in weight and has captured titles in 7 weight divisions. With so many belts out there, if this is so easy to do why hasnt anyone else in boxing history done this? Thats the little part your failing to mention in your 2bit analysis of Pac.

 

Cotto at 145 struggled to make weight and fight properly.
Dlh at 147 was a waling skeleton
Diaz was a bum, a top of the line grade A bum!
Hatton at 140 after Floyd ring posted him, and Lazcano hurt him badly.

Nobody carded enough to go up that high in weight to fight lesser champs than the real champs.

 

I cant engage you in argument, as you have quite the arsenal of attack weapons. I enjoy your posts though, most are funny and aggressive.

 

Floyd ****ing lost that first fight to Castillo. That was at the high point of Arum buying decisions for his fighters left and right: Mayweather-Castillo, Morales-Barrera 1, just about all of Paulie Ayala's fights, etc.
