This is according to Steve Kim, who says Showtime will televise.

How do you guys feel about this fight taking place? I'm not so sure. Part of me wants to see it happen. Another part of me thinks these guys are going to end up seriously hurting each other.

I don't want to see it, three is enough, these guys need to retire.

Dumb, they could be fighting other fighters and build more legacy, whoever gets to beat these 2 will just get 'he beat a shot fighter' BS.

Biggest payday out there for them, so I don't have a problem with it. I hope they clear enough to retire on out of it though.

Wasn't there another time you posted a joke about Allan Green about 5 seconds before I posted pretty much the exact same thing? This is payback!:happy

...though I must admit this psychic wavelength thing's getting a little disturbing.:good

Apparently Vasquez looks nearly shot. Marquez hasn't been active enough to be sure.

Marquez took a frightful beating in that last fight, but then again, so did Vasquez, his chin just held up better. And we all saw how a winner can still have a cracked jaw ala Margo against Mosley.

Marquez is the more fragile, but Vasquez looks the more diminished. This means Marquez controls the fight but can be knocked out at any moment. I think he controls the distance and wins by mid-round TKO.

    :yep

This one's not as creepy though. Pretty much any Vazquez and/or Marquez fan would have to have those same mixed feelings.

And tbh any true boxing fan = Vazquez/Marquez fan. :good

It will be the send off fight for both I hope. They looked equally awful in their latest fights and hopefully know that this one is their last shabang. I'd hate for the winner to get in there with someone like Juanma or Nishioka, who could put either in serious peril. Please don't tell me this fight is at Feather....?

    Terrible news.

Anyway I don't count this fight that much historically as their primes ended with the last pf their fights.

Exactly. Here's hoping for a send off that's both rewarding and not too brutal for the old gladiators. :!:
