Duran has 70 KOs in over 100 fights. He dominated and cleaned out the lightweight division (greatest lightweight of all time).
He got KTFO by Heanrs, otherwise his losses to Leonard and Hagler don't mean ****. He did beat Leonard once handing him his first defeat, and he went 15 ROUNDS with Hagler a MIDDLEWEIGHT and the baddest mafaka on earth at the time.

Pac is great but not at Duran's level yet.

pacs resume and accomplishments are just as impressive, if not moreso. did duran hold the title in 7 weight classes?? no. his real claim to fame is that he beat srl. thats it. srl beat him. duran lost to marvin. and he got koe'd by hearns. those are the 3 greats, and he lost to them. yet people put him up there with the likes of ali, srr, etc....and heck! alot of people put him above marvin, which is ridiculous, considering haggler beat him. how do u lose to a guy, and yet be placed above him??? no way. im not saying that duran isnt great! he's awesome!! but i wouldnt put him above hagler or pac man.

......... Because Duran was likely the greatest ever LWT that eventually won a MWT title, was a 4 weight champ in all, was the 1st man to beat Ray Leonard & the only man to beat a PRIME Ray Leonard & was the only man in history to compete in 5 different decades & has over 100 victories.... THATS why.

    Glad to help :good

lol at the guy who said Duran had 70 tough wins at LW. He had about 25 good wins and 45 wins against guys with a record of 1-7-1. He had ZERO wins at LW against ANY fighter on the level of PAC, EM, MAB or JMM. Take away the SRL and he has ZERO wins above lightweight against anyone of that class. His entire myth is based on ONE fight. ONE.

FYI, everyone who keeps saying Pac gets beat by Hagler: Of course he does. Pac isn't a middleweight. Duran grew into middleweight. Of course Duran at 160 beats Pac, but he doesn't do it at lightweight, and he doesn't beat JMM either. He sure as **** doesn't stop a young EM or MAB, he never fought ANYONE at thier level at LW, and if he had then you would all have never jumped on his nutsack.

Why don't they? Why does his victory over SRL mean EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING, and the two subsequent fights - one almost immediately after - where SRL bitchslapped him, played with him and generally treated him like a ***** mean nothing? Why does it mean nothing that Benitez was better than Duran? That Hearns dismissively one-punched him?

For me personally, Im thoroughly enjoying both men RIGHT NOW because when both are in the ring, I know Im watching greatness, art, excellence, even tho both are so different in style.... the absolute cream of boxing.
Sometimes we all get carried away & say things about these fighters because of certain things they have said, the way they have acted or the way the dumb section of their fans kiss their ass to an unreal level but these guys are the best, hands down, we are watching history, lets enjoy the **** while it lasts because time flies & they`ll be gone soon.

THATS RIGHT, LIGHTWEIGHT. He was the best. Hagler, hearns were all bigger man and he still challenged them.

They weren't bigger men when he fought them. MAB and JMM started out in higher divisions than Pac. Would they be the bigger men if Pac fought them right now?

Duran was grown into and well settled into those divisions when he fought those guys.

Why don't people actually research fighter's careers rather than looking up their records on Boxrec? Pac's career has been a lot better than his Boxrec, the same applies with Duran. If you looked at the opponents Pac has beaten and compare his resume to countless ATG's he'd look second rate.

Yes they were you stupid, fat, ugly, bald cocksucker. How much of a pinhead can you possibly be? He was far out-sized by both Hagler and Hearns, and clearly the smaller man against Leonard. Only a bald, mentally ******ed pedophile with Down Syndrome could possible think different. I guess that explains why you think so you fat pile of ****.

ok I'll bite. Whose resume makes Pac's look second rate, outside of SRR and Ali?
