This **** is getting sad...First Freddie "Shakes" says Mayweather at 145...then he says Marquez at 145. 145 isn't a ****in weight class! Is Manny too big to make 140 or is he too small to make 147? It is some bull****, and it makes Manny look bad. Manny is better than this...why the need to take unfair advantages? They know Mayweather won't fight at 145...and they saw how bad JMM looked(or Floyd made him look) at welter. I don't care who you are a fan of, this is some trash by "Shakes"
As many people said before, ANYTHING BETWEEN 140 - 147 IS WELTER WEIGHT. Mayweather came at 150 for his 154 fight with delahoya. It was with in the limit....

It is bull**** and no that was not taken outta context. they should of fought Marquez immediately after the second fight but instead moved up to 135 and made Marquez chase them all the way to the ww. Once they see Marquez couldn't hang up there, they say we'll fight you at 145. Thats bull****. I praise Manny and his accomplishments, he does his job and gives all his heart. But it's Roach and Arum that create these catchweight scenerios to further weaken the opposition. I want to see Manny fight at 147 so I won't have to put an astriks by his name on the ATG list.
I'm tired of Mannys team taking advantage of these welterweights draining them so manny can do much more damage then if they fought at 147. It will eventually tarnish his ATG status and I don't want that to happen to him. Manny is a true WW so let's see him destroy these guys the right way
You can weigh 135 for a WW fight if you want. It's anything below 147 but if you allow a fighter to weigh in at the max then that's different.
