Bar the early ones I've seen most of his fights and, maybe its just me, I've never seen much more than a heavy handed fighter with solid skills. I kept watching out for this world beater that people were talking about but didn't see a great deal of evidence for it TBH.

Getting flattened by Jackson and then losing to Grant cost him any realistic fight against a Watson/Benn/Eubank...

On his brilliant comeback, if he had held on to beat Brewster, I think he would of got that huge fight that he lacked in his career. Sadly for the Bomber, when he was in sight of a massive bout, he found a way to blow it... Which is a big shame.

I was thinking about this the other day; personally, I think Choi - yes, the Mongolian we claimed as our own - will now be present on lists like this. Huge underachiever and a huge shame to see his talent wasted due to the dark side of the game:-(. Poor Choi. Without overhyping him, I seriously think he could have got past Euro level and gave any world titlist a very good fight - we'll just never know if he was world class (**** the WBU and WBF). Here's to Choi.:cheers:happy

Adrian Dodson (Carew), double Olympian, the first time at 17 I think. Already looked a pro knocking out fighters like Kevin Lueshing in the ABA's. From memory he had to boil down in the Olympics when they gave Robin Reid the old light-middleweight spot, lost to Vastag but blamed the weight. Turned over with Frank Warren but he actually looked like he'd gone back by the time he fought Winky Wright.

Chris Eubank. Could have fought Jones Jr, Toney, Nunn, Kalambay, McCallum, Jackson and Reggie Johnson to prove his legacy but didnt.

You can add Herol Graham to that list as well.

I think he was just overrated (Boxing Monthly interviews proclaiming him the future first Billion Pound sportsman), rather than a fighter who never fulfilled his potential.

Pele Reid? Although he was probably just overrated to start with (The heavyweight Hamed...).

    Hamed.

He did win all the featherweight belts but he could have done so much more.
