Remember Khan is still only 22, Manny is at his peak at 30, How will Khan have developed in 8 years time when he is in his prime under Roach? People like to make jokes about his chin, but in his last fight at 140 his more natural weight being 5'10 he took the shots well, maybe he was weight drained at 135 just like Manny in his early days.
I remember seeing a video of Pac being floored by a midget, he had to be helped up to his feet. He was out of it. I bet people back then were rolling their eyes and saying "This guy's going nowhere". I love people's ability, boxing fans especially, to predict the future.
Fair enough! But who knew Manny had THAT much improvement in him? I honestly didn't know it was even possible for an already good fighter to improve so much. It's insane. Just insane. It still doesn't feel real. The chances of Khan doing the same are pretty much nil. Same with 99.9999% of fighters.
Nobody knew. And you're right, it's insane how Pac manages to look so much better every time he steps in the ring. I think most of us know Khan won't go on to be Pac in 8 years time. I'm directing my post at those people who say Khan won't amount to anything because he was knocked out cold in the first minute. Sometimes, that happens. May well be the best thing that ever happened to Khan.
