Who the hell was Margarito when he wanted to fight Floyd? Who'd he beat? He was **** and still is.

    Cotto-"Talk to my promoter".

Pac-"it's up to my promoter". "I'm going on vacation" Damn, I've heard that before.

You must have a selective memory. Mayweather also said something like this.

Mayweather - "I will let my team handle my business."

I've enjoyed the majority of your responses in this thread but find this last one diificult to digest.

An individual can have all the required values and attitude that accords with society's core values, but he/she will always be first and foremost judged on the colour of his/her skin or ethnicity. So being seen to have " that requested particular attitude" will not gain you acceptance.

With reference to the point of this thread, a proportion of hardcore and casual boxing fans and the general public will hate Floyd no matter what he does. Success courts hate and Floyd's rants and demeanour have gone some way to engender this widely held view. Manny's successes, in turn, will begin to cultivate his own share of hate/conjecture albeit on a smaller scale.

What I think we all fail to realise or indeed acknowledge is that it is this very hate/ dislike of Mayweather that has ironically propelled him into the hearts and minds of the masses, increased his marketability and his ability to command huge purses per fight.

When he was an established lighter weight champion toeing the line of "acceptabilty" who could care less or knew anything about him? It is therefore his notoriety that is the principal reason for the not inconsiderable media attention that he receives today!

    Bull****!!!
If UglyBoy fight Mosley, Clottey, Cotto and Williams, then he's the man no matter of the outcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If he beat them all, then he's P4P best and I don't care what he gonna be saying and what he gonna be doing (for all I care he can go around naked, nut-huggers sucking his balls in public!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

But so far, he haven't done none of that, and looks like he's not even thinking about it at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So all the negative shite and hate pretty much all 100% deserved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

**** UglyBoy, P4P #1 Beatch of The Boxing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate fighters that cherry-pick opponents ALL THE TIME. And his fights are as boring as they come. If he had any heart or balls the JMM fight would have been a knockout, but not for that lil biatch.

Dude....be easy.... Of course some will always hate Floyd...just like some will always hate PAC. No need to write a book. Look at you and how you discredit PAC...there are haters, huggers and boxing fans! Boxing fans have the most logical and resonable views on fighters. You are obviously a Floyd hugger, PAC hater and posing as a boxing fan.:rofl

Very true, but it's so strong now. I mean, I know every fighters has detractors and such but the hatred for Floyd gets to a pretty insane point like I have never seen.

I can't even imagine how bad it will be if he does a number on Pac.

Weak excuses. I like Pacquiao, like watching him fight. Do some of his fans get very annoying? Yeah, to extremes but I don't hate any fighter! I don't "hate" anyone in life. It's not healthy.

And the hate between the two is not even comparable. People really hate Floyd! There's got to be more to it than their lame excuses of why they say they do. It's something ingrained in them.

Man, you just cop out with this lame **** like all the other Pac fans.:-(

I don't think it is as extreme, and often for different reasons.

Even haters like to watch PAC....just like Haters want to watch Floyd fight. Sure for different reasons...people like excitiment and PAC brings that. Floyd has an incredible personality that people are drawn to...either you love him or hate him but the emotions he draws out of boxing fans are impactful to say the least. Some love the way he boxes and the flashes of greatness he shows in momemnts the others want to see him loose.

People really hate floyd for a reason....his personality is cocky, brash, sometimes arrogant and at time ignorant. He embellishes the villian role and of course he's going to get HATE. He tries to get that kind of reaction. So why are you surprise that Floyd is getting MORE HATE vs a guy like PAC who is the complete polar opposite in terms of his personality?

Humble, jovial, quite PAC vs Loud, Brash, Cocky, Flamboyant Floyd? I mean....it's not hard to understand. You're a clown bro...a true hater
