$10 mill?? Am I missing something here? Pac was guaranteed $13 mill against Cotto + PPV share. Against PBF, in a fight that is touted as the biggest ever in boxing, he gets $10 mill only? I was thinking along the lines of $30 mill guaranteed, kinda like Tyson-Holyfield 2.
Dont know where you got that info from, but Pac earned a guaranteed $7.5 mil against Cotto + PPV revenue. Cotto earned $4mil + ppv revenue.
That will be nice if it was that simple. I can't wait for this fight to be official, but I have feeling it's not going to happend anytime soon. Money would not be the only issue, both camps know winning a match doesn't only take place in the ring. Negotiations and contracts is were advantages and disadvantages take place that potentially lead to victories and defeats. The only thing I would like is for this fight to be made at 147, enough of this catch weight nonsense.

they should have a "percentage" incentive fight. Both fighters get 40-40 with the winner getting the final 20%. Also, i don't see anything wrong with Freddie Roach speaking on Manny's behalf. Pac obviously trusts Freddie's judgment and Freddie has helped Manny make wise decisions regarding future opponents. Manny won't take a fight if Freddie doesn't like the match-up. This is probably the reason why the Mosley/Pac fight wasn't made several months ago.
And you have touched on one of the reasons that the fight will not likely be made. It all good for Roach to come out in public and say 50/50, but in the back he will be crying "If Floyd comes in an ounce over 144 we wont fight" just like they did with Oscar. Floyd I dont think will agree to that because its the third reason that fighters fight after the first to being money, that is EGO. Pac will wont to be in control by demanding the fight be at a catchweight and Floyd will want to be in control by demanding that the fight for the TITLE be at the actaul weight.
That is illegal and is actaully part of the Ali act to clean up boxing. Going in they have to know the NUMBERS that each fighter will get, its a protection that was put in to assure that promoters arent ****ing the fighters over.
