Well, I was in my Duran phase and seeing such a great fighter getting dominated from the get go shocked me. Re-watched Montreal right after.
Man whoever submitted that version of the fight to youtube gets big thanks from me. The only other version was in such crappy quality, couldn't see the subtleties of Duran's work properly.

The way Duran would sometimes stop and look at Barkley after getting hit as if to say, "how dare you hit me, I'm Roberto Duran". The way he hits Barkley with a right hand in the first round, badly hurting Barkley and having him out on his feet. Some felt Barkley was going to do a demolition job, and it's Barkley whos hurt. Barkely was in trouble. Late in the fight, Duran dodges 4-5 jabs..effortlessly, stops to pause as if to say, "You've never fought someone like me before, and you never will again" then he lands a one-two. The entire performance was capped off by Duran eating the biggest left hook you'll ever see...and come back swinging.
Nice ones with the Marciano and Duran-Barkley, well fitting here. Hope some of you liked the Gushiken one though. Okay i'm off now, later.
