Owen presents a legitimate challenge. Since his failed title attempt against Valuev he's on a solid 4 fight winning streak, so what that none of the fighters had a winning record or that he barely got by one of them with a split decision.....lol.
Reminds me of BJ Flores wins an eliminator for the IBF and then sits idle and then fights bums and shows little interest in winning the title. Boy he killed any momentum he ever had,.
Beck has really been tearing it up since he was embarrassed by Valuev. I guess this is a fight to see how he does with Teddy Atlas 2009-08-21258½Jermell Barnes226 This content is protected - This content is protected - This content is protected 2009-06-13253Andrew Greeley236 This content is protected - This content is protected - This content is protected 2007-11-08262Marvin Hunt200 This content is protected - This content is protected - This content is protected 2007-09-28253½Ricardo Arce209½ This content is protected - This content is protected - This content is protected
Povetkin has been screwed by waiting and waiting and waiting for his mandatory shot, that still might not even come as Eddie "Povetkin beat me" Chambers leapfrogs over him.
My memory isnt as good as it used to be, but he pulled out of the fight with Wlad, so he had a shot. It was a good decision he wanst ready. He needs to make sure he is at the top of his game, then again even then it might not be enough.
I just read an article on BJ...He signed with Roy Jones Jrs company and claims he's very disappointed with RJJ ability of getting him fights. he was suppose to fight on the Valuev\Haye undercard but apperently RJJ pulled him.
I've defended Povetkin on here before, but he deserves to be leapfrogged in no small reason because Chambers actually wants to fight Wlad ASAP. With bringing on Atlas, recovering from the injury, wanting a couple tune up fights, etc...seems like even though Povetkin won that eliminator that he's sending the message he's not ready for Wlad yet. I have no problem with Chambers getting that fight first with the way things have went down.
