^ true, i seriously cannot believe people are saying Dawson even thought he had the right to fight Calzaghe. Calzaghe would have wiped the floor with him.

 

Hopkins already fought Roy in his prime though, nobody is looking at this fight to seal Hopkins's legacy like Joe was advertising the Jones fight as. The Hopkins/Jones fight is personal, nobody is pretending it has any bearing on the fighter's legacies. That's why this fight isn't a farce. Do you know what "farce" means. Joe advertised his fight with Jones as something it wasn't.

He just barely beat Hopkins so that boosted Dawson position of the LHW ranks....So now he's telling Floyd he should fight the best and retire...How come Joe couldnt follow his own advice and take on Dawson before he retired?

we already know ny fans know slappy joe. Remember, he went over to NY for the fight and i saw the videos etc. Not to mention if i didnt forget he goes there as a holiday sometimes.

He's advising Floyd to face the Pacman (who is the best as of now) and then retire...Why didnt Joe follow his same logic? People want to be critical of Floyd but Joe is the last person that should say anything to be honest with you...Not saying that Joe is wrong but he's being a hypocrit by telling somebody to do something when he did the exact opposite!
