The boxing fans deserve more. This fight should be made. Both parties should stop this bs over getting the lion's share. They would earn more getting a 50/50 split on this fight than getting a 60/40 fighting a different opponent.
50/50 purse split is fair to both sides . . . but since who deserves more is being asked . . . logical answer is the man on the top of the chain. #1 P4P and 7 divisional champ . . . does that ring a bell?
in actuality, pac deserves more. he is the welter champ and the current p4p#1. his last ppv was also better. but in order for this fight to get made, 50-50 is the way to go because of both fighters ego. if floyd will demand more than 50% **** him and just fight mosley and get 70-30.
I AGREE...Dont work like that thouugh...when Manny fought Oscar and when Floyd fought Oscar they were both on top and both got the lesser share... im not saying ur wrong at all....****...if ne thing ur right...the best and the title holder should get the lions share n i been saying that for years....recent years show that the title holder don't always get the bigger share....
many doesnt deserve more $ wtf fanboys are so fkn stupid and biased.... after that performance .. pacman has earned the right to a 50/50 split
Pacman deserves more in my opinion and it's not even close. However, business doesn't work that way. It's all about drama and Mayweather brings a lot of it building up fights, his PPV numbers doing better than Pacman's is good enough proof. Since when were things THIS heated up in boxing?, even though a possible Lewis/Klitschko II fight was rumored to come we never had so many discussions like this about a single fight.
Pac earned the right to a 50/50 split after the DLH fight, after Hatton and now Pac he deserves more. Sadly it doesn't work that way and it will most likely be 50/50, business doesn't give a **** about what legacy you're going for, that goes in the history books. Business cares about what PPV numbers you make and against who can you make them. Pac nearly made the same amount fighting Cotto when Mayweather was fighting Marquez who everyone knew was a smaller guy moving up two weight divisions. People tune in to watch Mayweather hoping he'll lose and desperately want to see him get his first loss. Ali had the same approach, Leonard and many others. Only difference is Leonard and Ali got respect in the long run, Mayweather seems to be getting more hate but I'm sure that will change if he loses to Pac. Once you lose fairly people tend to respect, same happened for RJJ. RJJ had far more insults in ANY boxing discussion site than Mayweather could dream of.
how about 45/45... and winner gets the 10% bonus. now floyd will surely have to work and fight pacman if he wants the 10% incentive. if he wins then he takes 55% and the respect that he wants. win-win situation for him. now pacman wont have much trouble getting to floyd in this fight coz floyd wont be running as much... so win-win situation for him also.
PAC was no where near as a draw during his 2nd dance with JMM, barely getting into US market. PBF HATTON draws more than PAC HATTON simply for that "undefeated" factor. with out that factor, i dont think that will get near 900k. PPV with the PAC HATTON fight in the UK was about 350k only. PAC gave in to the agreed purse split with HATTON thinking that HATTON would bring in more PPV hits from UK, but it didnt bring that much. with ODLH, his dance with PAC was viewed as a circus, to ODLHs favor. much like the PBF JMM dance. that said, a boxers drawing power is only as good as his last fight, factor in the satisfied paying fans and youl know who is on top.
