92% of Brits picking Kessler. 60% of American experts picking Wards, most of whom work for infuencial media companies (including showtime's own people). Everything will be done to take this fight away from Kessler, but it will not matter.
Wards adaptibility, spoiling and significantly sharper punches than Calzaghe (although still not a solid puncher IMO) will cause Kessler problems. However, Calzaghes chin kept him through the early onslaught, I'm not certain Ward will take what Kessler, himself fair fast, shockingly accurate and with a perfect grasp of the fundementals, throws at him. Kessler stoppage in about 5. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Ward wins a decision.
Agree with this 100% Calzaghe took a pounding in rounds 4 and 5,does Ward have the defence to cope with that type of onslaught.
If this fight goes the distance does anyone feel it will be VERY difficult to get the decision. The fact Dirrel lost a fight most feel he won and also because if Ward loses, all 3 American fighters would've lost which could make the American public lose interest in the tourney?? Just a thought.
Yeah i dont think Kessler will be confident of getting the decision if it's a close fight. I think if the fight goes to the later rounds Kessler will be going all out for the stoppage.
That's just not true, a fair few of the ringside journos had Froch winning, and most importantly, so did two of the judges.
There was a few who scored in favour of Frochs aggression but most would've gave Dirrel the nod. This arguement has been done to death so lets just say...Froch got a decision which could've went Dirrels way:good Will the fact an American lost a tight decision the first time affect 2nights judging???
I'm going to stick my neck out and say Ward UD. Kessler's a decent fighter but I think he's hyped a lot on this forum. If Ward moves his head properly and throws the jab he should be fine. EDIT: I couldn't vote, poll closed!
