I mean I am I the only one that thinks this? Ward who is still a tad green boxes circles around Kessler. In my mind that makes Calzaghes win over him seem like nothing. Does anyone else feel this way? I mean I picked Ward to beat Kessler strictly on the fact that I believe Euro boxers are overrated compared to American boxers. No disrespect to Europe but seriously IMO American fighters are usually leagues ahead of European fighters. Tonight is a perfect example. Dirrel was also a great example, eventhough the judges did him no justice. I dont mean to ramble on but honestly who else feels like this Ward victory makes Calzaghe's win over Kessler seem insignificant? ME! ME!

Andre Ward is a great fighter. Kessler is above average. But Calzaghe is not an ATG...this fight proves it.

    Sorry:rasta

Calzaghe would uttertly smoke Ward. He would over whelm him as he does every one else. Ward would not be able to get off and would try to play counter puncher all night. Just like Calz makes every fight play that roll.

damn man. I mean I am one of those who was hyping Ward when most people still thought that wasn't all that, but to say that he is greater than Calzaghe already... I'm gonna have to step off this train, its getting too crowded but isn't big enough.

ROFL, so quick with the name calling. Oh we back in high school I suppose? Everyone is a keyboard warrior these days...sheesh! Also, tell me how you see that fight panning out...explain to me why you think Ward beats Calzaghe.

Calzaghe beat Kessler by doing some really spoiling tactics. However, they were much about angles and changing angles and holding a bit and so on.

Kessler after the fight: "He spoiled my boxing, but he is good at it. All credit to Joe".

    ____________________________________________

Ward beat Kessler by headbuts and hitting while holding.

Kessler after the fight: "This was really unfair. Ward kept headbutting me and after round two I couldn't see because of the concussion. The ref also repeatedly allowed him to hit while holding".

    Two completely different worlds.

Seriously. I called this. I told everyone Ward would school Kessler and he did!!! The reason I knew this would happen is bc Ward is an Olympian and his competition is Danish street trash. Its obvious that an American Olympian would beat a Euro. It happened and I believe Calzaghe is no match for true American competition. My reason for thinking like this is bc Calzaghe barely got by Kessler, and Ward owned Kessler...so do the ****en math!!! LMAO!!!

Ward is faster, younger and has better skills. Calzaghe wishes he can punch like Ward.

Is that why Kessler is so over hyped? To hype Calzaghe's legacy? If so, that's pathetic.

This win does diminish Calzaghes legacy -and I'm someone who rates Calzaghe very highly in terms of talent and skill - but come on now, this is ridiculous.

Pavlik beat Taylor twice, who beat Hopkins twice, so that means Pavlik beats Hopkins- right? Of course not - styles make fights.

It is way too early to evaluate Ward in terms of H2H and other stuff like that. In fact, until he wins the tourney, its too early to even bother.
