    to the thread, did someone from mexico just upset linares back then? old names like morales, barrera, marquez, vazquez, montiel, mijares would be replaced by fresh faces. maybe its just a transition.

    This is a bull**** thread. # of champions go up and down. it happens all the time. And the only thing we, the USA, domninate in boxing is the money side of it. And that is because of Showtime and HBO.

Sr. needed robberies in almost all of the fights he stepped up in and beating 99 cabdrivers doesn't really count as "greatness".
