    Im sick of you americans trashing calzaghes legacy. The fact is ward beat a past prime kessler whos confidence was completely destroyed by calzaghe 2 years ago. Add to that Perdomo was even causing Mikkel some problems the fight before so please, lets not make it seem like this win was anything special.

    Calzaghe laid the blueprint on how to beat kessler first so wards job was much easier just following what calzaghe did.:deal

    Then we can all just treat Calzaghe's win over B-Hop and RJJ as meager achievements as Jermain Taylor and Antonio Tarver laid-out blueprints on how Joe should beat them. Thread Closed.

    i like the irony in this post, and its also a load of crap, but it is just what Americans would say had it been one of their fighters being discussed.

    Bull****, you can say that about Lacy but the Calzaghe/Kessler fight was very competitive

    Everything has been clearly put into perspective...

    One of America's up and coming, B+ level fighters Dominated a Top Euro last night....

    and IF Calzaghe would have ever fought a legitimate, Top American, at their best, he would have been beaten as well...

    The charade is over.

    Andre Ward may not have proven himself to be any better than B+ at this juncture, but my god, he's a talented kid.

    Andre Ward exposed 2 fighters for the price of one,Kessler was easily punished, and andre proved what i have been saying all along,Kessler was overrated/Overhyped...I knew all along he was nothing close to the that GREAT fighter everyone envisioned him to be...and Calzaghes legacy takes another hit...dam can it get any worse for Calzage :huh

    why are boxing fans the most ignorant sport fans in the world ? its ****ing annoying

    ward fought a magnificent fight against one of the best supermiddleweights in the world giv him his props. i wonder wat your gonna say when kessler beats your boy froch ?
