I still believe Kessler can win the tournament and I think he'll come back with a big KO over Carl Froch, he had a bad performance last night but hopefully he'll have a chance to avenge that loss.

I think Kessler gave his all last night, was very game, and was not any less of a fighter than he was against Calzaghe. He still has a sharp jab and one two and good power, but he also still lacks head movement (just like he did against Perdomo, a fight in which he was getting hit before blowing Perdomo out with his power), boxes and defends in straight lines, and doesn't work on the inside. Still a world class fighter, but not on Ward's level ...As for the holding it seemed like Kessler was the one holding; Ward was smothering Kessler (which is legal) more than holding, in my opinion...

I'm still a fan of Kessler, but he need to train like a challenger now, he needs to get the hunger back. Maybe getting a new trainer.
The same was said after the Calzaghe fight but he hasent done anything diffrent since then.

Yeah i agree with most of the posts,Kessler should bulldoze Froch and shove himself back as the favourite. He deserves it after that fight with Ward.

Same here. Obviously disappointed but that's life. Mikkel will go back to the drawing board and reevaluate things. Still a fan no matter what. The real fans won't abandon the Viking Warrior. He'll be back, you can count on that. Still a terrific fighter, nothing's changed. :smoke

Its funny how so many people are picking Froch now. Before the Ward fight it was almost unthinkable.

think about that for a second

Kessler looked terrible last night, but some of that probably came from taking a massive, and clearly intentional, head butt to the right cheek bone in the second round. That seem to take a lot out of him. Of course I'm still a fan.

Ward on the other hand is a creepy, slimy, dirty, cheating religious fanatic who disgusts me. If there is a place I can sign up as an offical Ward hater, please post the link!

I do agree that Kessler will Smash Froch... and I want to see how Taylor recovers from the AA fight before I make my prediction on that fight.

I have a feeling Kessler will get another shot at Ward, and the second time around it will be a closer fight.

I refuse to turn a blind eye to cheating. Kesselr did not look good last night, but that doesn't change the fact that Ward fouled more than enough to be disqualified, and that iincompetant ESPN ref did nothing.

Of course we're still fans. Turning on a fighter is the most disgraceful thing anybody can do. Because of a loss? Are we fans because we think a guy is the best or because we like him and like watching him?

Ward was too good, all credit to him.

I look forward to the next two fights, Kessler still has a great chance to progress far in the tournament even if winning it is a long shot now. He'd need maybe Abraham to take out Ward and for things to fall kindly for him to win it. The good thing is he has a home fight against the defensively lacking Froch, and then a guy in Taylor who could well be coming off two losses. So really he has every chance to progress.
