I don't think Cotto has proved himself anymore than Diego Corrales did in beating Joel Casamayor, Acelino Freitas, and Jose Luis Castillo. No doubt Pacquiao faced and beat better competition though, his resume is simply outstanding.

Corrales was more proven. And the performance was perhaps even better on Floyd's part.

At the lower weights Castillo and Corrales were better fighters than Cotto.

I wouldnt bet on that, at 140 both Corrales and Castillo could have beaten Cotto

Cotto never fought at 130 or 135.

Is AT1 still crying about Mayweather kicking his ass in sparing? Cotto is decent but he was never that great, he got gifts against Old Mosley, Clottey, got owned by Margarito and would often nearly get ko'd

I agree Cotto is better than Corrales, DLH (the version Floyd fought) or Castillo. But that doesn't mean anything head to head against Pacman.

You don't think outboxing Mosley proves anything? Not to mention the way in which Cotto was beating opponents....

Cotto is MUCH more dangerous than any opponent Floyd ever faced, the only one who comes close in my opinion was a prime Castillo. And Mayweather had a hard time with Castillo
