The bull**** decisions and refereeing that exist in the UK against American Fighters, then in the US a couple head butts happen and all hell breaks loose? Suck a nice long one.
Damn you got me...I take it you also noticed when Casamayor hit Marquez below the belt, headbutted him then tried to shoot him. (Also good job, you got me just as I was about to change my avatar:good.)
but what about the 10th round butt that showtime played back in slow-mo? Come on bruv if your gonna lead in with your head you know that's what your gonna land with first! Even the reaction of the commentators was that of wow what a headbutt!
Yea, that one was questionable. On the other hand what's the excuse for the previous 9 rounds of Kessler getting handled. At worst Ward gets warned for that one and STILL wins the same way.
all u people that voted yes are clearly pissed that Kessler got destroyed,he got easily beaten and thats all there is to it
It was clear that Ward fought dirty - he hit and held, and he charged with his head down, leading to these head-butts. However, he also outboxed Kessler - Kessler just coun't deal with Wards speed and counter-punching. But we mustn't forget that Kessler looked very rusty, after having fought only scarcely 7 rounds in 17 months. Having seen a lot of Kessler fights, I can tell you that this wasn't the Kessler that fought Andrade, Mundine or Calzaghe. That's why I think that we shouldn't write him off just yet.
One of those head butts was the exact same move that Miranda lost two points for against Abraham. Kessler just didn't show up last night, but he caught the first intentional head butt in round two, and it was extremely vicious. It seemed like that took a lot out of him. Personally, if it was up to me, I would not allow a fighter of mine to fight Andre Ward unless Smoger or Bayless reffed it.
Kessler and his fans remind me of the playground bully after finally getting his butt kicked running to teacher and his parents to whine that the other guy didn't fight fair. Ward out boxed, out punched, out adjusted and just plain manhandled/mugged Kessler. No doubt Ward had his MMA moments, but Kessler did his share of holding which was his inadequate attempt at ad******g to Ward, the 18' ring and type of fight he found himself in. I felt before the fight that Kessler might overpower Ward. Ward, not Kessler, manned up to the occassion. Quit whining. It is pathetic.
I am seriously convinced at this point that this site is full of computer geeks who have never been in a boxing gym and pick fighters solely based on race or country.
He was not butting on purpose, I think he just gets way to reckless rushing straight in. I kept waiting for Kessler to catch him coming in.
