Even if you want to argue that an often suggested drained Corrales was better at 30 than Cotto at 47 you can't argue that Cotto would beat the crap out of Corrales at 47.

The Cotto that Pac faced at 47, would be favored to defeat any fighter that Mayweather ever faced when he faced them.

All things being equal in size, would the Cotto that faced Pac lose to a possibly drained Corrales at 30, maybe.

But the point is that Pac has never faced a guy as big as strong and as prime and as dangerous as Miguel Cotto. Floyd has never faced the

    prime (dlh wasn't prime)
    winning (judah had lost)
welterweights (hatton and marquez aren't welters)
    of his era

No. What it means is you've made a decision and you have no interest in facts or arguments that don't support that decision, and you're gonna have to be stubborn about it too because there really aren't any facts or arguments on your side.

Floyd in his interview with sky sports after the cotto - pacman fight said himself that cotto was probably at one time the best Welterweight!!!!! (Which does beg the question why PBF didn't fight him)

Shane mosley after the fight with cotto admitted that if there was a winner it should be cotto if it wasn't scored a draw he never said he deserved to win it (at least not in his post fight interview)

PBF has achieved amazing things in boxing no doubt but his resume at 147 is weaker than cottos

Pac-beast has already DLH, Hatton and Cotto all by KO on his 140-147/drain/catch-weight the other guy resume which is still impressive

if PBF beats pacman and possibly cotto avenges against margo then we could see cotto vs pbf but this is a long shot

Cotto did not accomplish as much as castillio and Corrales did in there careers.

Ed Hopson was one of the most talented guy I ever seen at 130 but where is he now ? Cotto talent does not make him a better accomplished fighter then Castillio or carralas.

All things considered, prime, weights, etc., I think the Oscar Floyd beat at 154 is at least equal and possibly superior to the Cotto Pacquiao beat at 147.

wtf is this supposed to mean? That WW Cotto beats the great LW's PBF fought, as long as he fights them when he's a WW and they're still lightweights?? When PBF fought those guys, he wasn't a WW. He was a LW, and so were they, and those were tougher guys at LW than Cotto is at WW.

I can't argue that Cotto wouldn't KO Ricardo Lopez at 147 either, but Lopez was a better fighter than Cotto. Get it?

No argument there, but I don't think anyone's trying to dispute that particular fact. Just the single fight against SSM would give him a better resume at WW than PBF has.

You can spin this discussion every which way and we would all come back to one conclusion which the TS intended to get.

Theres no getting around it because

Even if Cotto is not better than anyone PBF has faced, PACs resume is still better than Floyds

How can you present facts about opinions ????? If you make a statement that Cotto has 27 knockouts in his career, that is a fact...but saying for instance that he's got an ordinary right hand is an opinion..that's all !

If 90% of the people here prefer the color blue and I prefer orange, then it doesn't automatically mean blue is better than orange...

I ain't no fan of Cotto, Castillo or Corrales. I don't take anyone's side in this, just call what I see.

I'm not referring to accomplishments here, just boxing skills, and YES Cotto is not immensely more talented than Castillo and Corrales..but he simply is !

Anyways...if Cotto would have beaten Pacman and you made that same survey, 90% would agree with me...What's the value of such a survey then ????

The result of each man's fights doesn't affect the way I perceive them. Talent wise..I take Cotto over Castillo and Corrales any day but it doesn't mean they both weren't very good too !!

My arguments aren't based on accomplishments...just natural talent, that's it !! The discussion developed into who is the better fighter..not who did more in their careers..

People could have made an argument that Carl Froch before last night had accomplished more than say Andre Ward..Does that make him a better fighter than Ward ??????

I always thought Ward was better than Froch and results of their respective fights had nothing to do for that call !

    UNDERSTAND ???

Pac's resume is better but not because of cotto. Besides that's not what the TS point was.

I think Floyd is great I like the guy just fight the best is all I ask if he beats PAC and Shane vs Berto winner I'll never question him, but to suggest that PAC is on ped's and that he is better than ssr is crazy

Isnt that what I said. Definitely the TS was trolling and was trying to prove this point. All he had to do was ask Is BArrera better than anyone Floyd faced p4p?

Cotto in his defense presented a greater challenge for PAC than anyone to PBF.
