Same reason they hated Ali. He is a black dude with mouth. Nobody likes the brash black dude. And for all the clown retort, before it even comes in "oh, Ali was articulate" "Ali was cerebral" blah blah blah bull****. They hated that ****ing man during his prime and peak years. He was hated twice as much as Floyd. Everybody he fought was supposed to kick his ass and he was boo'd probably more than any other fighter ever in history. Floyd is a guy that just does not play the game and put on the status quo image of an athlete. He is a little immature, insecure and a whole lot more but just the same as any regular dude out here and he dont try to cover it up and apologize for it. Same with Ali. He was not some ****ing super good human being without flaws. Anyway, if you are a black dude you know what the hell I am talking about.

I loved him earlier in his career. As a lightweight he knew he was the best fighter on the planet and he wanted to prove it and he made his case by beating every other badass at or near the weight. As he's moved up in weightclasses, I don't think he's as confident that he can beat these bigger guys and he's gotten very selective in who he'll fight and when he'll fight them. My problem is that I think PBF could clean out the WW division, I think he beats PW, SSM and anybody else there. I'm not SURE of it, but I really think he could, and he's robbing us of great events by trying to get all the accolade of being the best WW in the world without ever having to prove it.

It's got nothing to do with being black, it's not the same situation at ALL, and Ali fought EVERYONE. There were some people who didn't like Ali's mouth, but a lot more people during his time didn't like the fact that he was a black muslim and refused to fight in the war.

Ali... man don't even TRY to compare PBF to Ali. That **** just ain't right nor proper.

Their difference is that Ali verbally degraded other fighters, but fought them all. Mayweather degrades them, but he doesn't fight them.

i hate him but I thought he was entertaining during the rugged man interview and his 'wrestling match' with the big show one WWE.

He plays the role of bad guy to the T.

    I don't hate him personally..

Lol at some. You ****ing snot nosed clown. :rofl Yo, it is what it is. It has always been that way and it has been proven time and time again. Nothing you just said proves otherwise. Yeah, Ali fought everyone b/c he chose to. Thats the point, he called the shots. Not you. Floyd got the same attitude but he is a little brash and a far less charismatic. Ali fought for MONEY just like everybody else. Those big fights he took were not about legacy. Ali was not appreciated until after the fact, at least to mainstream america.

For me it is the money worshiping, arrogant, disrespectful attitude he has. If he was humble or just even respectful I would like him. I don't mind an athlete being confident or cocky, in fact i like it, but what floyd does is just ridiculous.

the worst thing about it is that if he had any brain whatsoever he would realize that if he were just humble and respectful he would be 10times bigger than he is now and make more money. he isn't the brightest guy in the world though.

    Genaro Hernandez
    Jesus Chavez
    Carlos Hernandez
    Angel MAnfredy
    Diego Corrales
    Jose Luis CAstillo
    Demarcus Corley
    Arturo Gatti
    Sharamba Mitchell
    Zab Judah
    Carlos Baldomir
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Ricky Hatton

and soon to come Manny Pacquiao

Thats a very very solid resume. Maybe 3-4 guys still fighting in the game that can claim as good a legacy. Bhop, Toney, Pac, and RJJ and thats about it.

So when you look at his record, the number of top flight comp and champs he's beaten, the fact that he called out guys like Naseeem, tszyu and Mosley, you can only assume the reason people hate Floyd is either jealousy, or because he doesnt fight like journeymen punching bag and fights with swagger, technique, skill and intelligence.

I think people who hate Floyd fall into 3 categories

    1. the jealous
    2. *******s
    3. Those who'd rather watch bum fights on youtube and done understand or appreciate boxing skill.
