COTTO is better than anyone Floyd ever faced...

What's the part of better skills you don't get ??? Corrales, Hernandez, and JLC have accomplished more at this point no doubt but they don't have a better set of tools than Cotto..NO !!

Now.... could Corrales, JLC or Hernandez beat Cotto if somehow they we're in the same weight class ? Yes of course because like we always say, styles make fights....therefore it's a sure possibility.

Does Ali have more natural skills than Frazier ? Yes he does but he would always struggle against him anyways..

What makes an ATG career is the accomplishments of the said fighter...

Therefore I know Cotto is not there at all !!! I'll try to make it sink in your head for one last time with an example....

1- If Ali would have retired for good right after his 1st Liston bout...would he have and ATG type career ? Yes or No ?
2- Does Joe Frazier have an ATG type of career ? Yes or NO ?
3- Would a permanently retired Ali in the Mid 60s still have better overall skills than Frazier ? Yes or No ?

So for me the answers in order are : 1-NO 2-YES 3-YES

So if a fighter XYZ would have fought Ali and Frazier, I would say Ali is the better fighter cause he has better skills..even if it's Frazier that has the ATG career.

I admit it was the older Azumah, but Azumah was a warrior and he was coming on strong in that fight. They even had to stop the fight at one point to tend to an injury Azumah gave Genaro by hitting him on the neck or something. It was an odd wait and odd place to be hit. But Hernandez was a very good fighter with great boxing technique. He was not the puncher which Cotto was, but he had such great boxing skills.

 

DLH was better than Cotto yes, but not the version who fought Floyd. Corrales and Castillo were not better than Cotto. No way. And Marquez is overrated. Somehow his almost wins against Manny that is what is overrated, which makes Marquez overrated.

 

Corrales is so overrated. He is a B level fighter at best

 

The DLH that Floyd fought would have given Cotto hell.. I can tell you one thing, he would have been fighting off the back foot the entire fight.

And yes Corrales and Castillo accomplished far more then Cotto did. Outside of an old Mosley, who has he beaten really? He struggled at 140 against the likes of Corley, Malignaggi and Torres. Got a gift against Clottey and got pound by Margarito. Honestly I doubt he beats Margarito even without the wraps if they did occur. Yes he fought some good welters, but outside Mosley, his performances have been **** to say the least. Whereas is there any dispute, that other then Mayweather and possibly Tszyu, that Corrales and Castillo were the best fighters from 130-140 this decade?

And Marquez is not overrated. Anyone who's seem him fight would realize he's one of the most talented little men to fight in the sport the last decade. You dont give Manny hell, beat Barrera, Casaymayor and Diaz being overrated.

YOU PBF fans fail to realize that the JMM that PBF faced is not the BEST that JMM can offer!

HE was OBVIOUSLY was not able to CARRY HIS WEIGHT and TALENT to a 147POUNDER!!!!

The guy fought only 135twice then JUMPED two divisons higher to face PBF! PBF not being contended with the 2 division that JMM went up he did not try to shed the 2lbs over the agreed weight!

NOW, you guys claim PBF is great coz PBF schooled JMM that gave pac a hell of a fight!

Now, if PBF fought JMM on his best weight divison we don't have any arguement if PBF schools JMM.

So you think the accuracy of JMM at 135 is the same as 147?! :deal

 

Void refused to fight Pac,Cotto, Margarito and Mosely. Cotto beat Mosey by the way.

Pac stopped Oscar and Hatton. Void lost to Oscar, but Void's judges gave Void a gift. Pac easily outboxed Oscar, stopped him late and stopped Hatton early, something Void could not come close to doing.

But still, Cotto would kick the ass of Lopez, this is important here, because Manny has clearly taken on the bigger challenges and is naturally smaller than Floyd is.

Sure, you can say Clinton Woods has beaten fighters that neither Floyd or Pac could beat too, but the difference is that Manny is not only smaller than Floyd and has an entire arsenal of important fights even before the first Barrera fights and accomplishments at smaller weights, but not only that, he has not only beaten top fighters at smaller weights than Floyd fought at, but also has more dangerous competition at bigger weights.

Every time you step up into bigger weight classes against bigger men it gets more dangerous. It means more when you start taking out guys that are the top most dangerous guys and you are the little guy coming up.

THAT is why the Cotto victory is a bigger deal exactly BECAUSE it was at 47 AND Cotto was arguably the top dog.

I mean, if Pac went up and beat Vitali Klitschko would you still tell me that Casamayor was a better victory because you rate him higher pound for pound? That is the whole point.

Fraud needs to walk through the fire and take on a big prime winning and dangerous welterweight and KICK HIS ASS to achieve what Pac has achieved.
