You ain't tellin me nothin new.

Those guys are some of the greatest fighters that ever put on gloves.

Duran, Pryor, Hearns, and Leonard don't got **** on those guys.

If Benitez fought the same guys Floyd fought, he would have been ****ED up.

Thank God he fought Tommy Hearns instead.

And Whitaker's opposition, between you and me......pure bull****.

Fightin an athletically prime version of De La Hoya, an unbeaten Chavez, and going way outside of his weightclass to fight a prime Trinidad...

Come on man......that guy was SO LUCKY to have fought those guys instead of the notorious Baldomir.

Judah was stepping on his shoe, thus throwing Floyd offbalance. ANd his glove barely even touched the ground.

Floyd ****ed up Brooklyn that night.

Wilfred Benitez, and if you see the level of competition he fought. Cervantes,Palomino,Hearns,Duran,Leonard. Only Leonard and Hearns beat him when he was champion.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Is a defensive God. Mayweather has the best defense I have ever seen, I'll give him that. As much as I can't stand him at times, nobody can deny that the man's defensive abilities are exquisite, to say the least.

pep, sweet pete, PBF, benitez all amazing . . . a really tough call because they all had their own style. The old timers would say pep but I would say sweet pete by a hair over PBF.

I'd take Willie Pepp, Loche and Benny Leonard over all of the modern guys becasue their defence was tested a lot more often than two fight a year modern fighters.

That said, Floyd is tough to hit in any era also, a superb defensive technician and from the video's I've watched of his dad and uncles fights, far more effective with the family shoulder roll style than his family.

I think Floyd Jnr would have had a better time of it Vs Chavez, not necessarily a win, but go the distance.

I still think Leonard would be too much for Floyd.

    Willy Pep.

Monzon and a few other sluggers had great defenses, and it's a credit to them that they could be pounding on guys and not getting caught. Duran as lightweitht, when on defensive, was great. It's something a guy gets a rep for, so these two don't get a lot of mentions.

I would say Benitez because he makes you miss straight up, face to face. Pure reflex

Floyd is up there for me but I dont like the bobbing very low. He also doesnt take risks like Benitez whos main goals is equally divided between making you look foolish and knockin your ass out.

pea's defense is a lot of flash but he gets knock down, swell up. I think people give too much on flash. Pea is good no doubt but floyd is more effective.
