I think your confusing EU membership with being European. And the way you feal has little to do with it. I don't feal European in the slightest. Yet I can't escape the fact that geographically I'm born and raised in Europe.

Khan was born and raised here as far as I know, as his Bolton accent would suggest.

Ahem... Ukraine is a part of the European Continent. That's a fact you can't argue with. How people feel has nothing to do with this.

    Why?

He only has two losses and they were against the top two fighters P4P at the time. He deserves **** loads of respect for taking his chances against the elites top dogs.

It doesnt matter whether he was born in the UK or not.He just has to open a history book in order to know that he is not English. An Arab who is born in China is Chinese,eh?
Or an African who is born in Russia is Russian,eh?
    :lol:What a weird thought!

I have no idae how people can argue that Ukraine is not geographically a part of Europe, its like arguing Canada is not part of North America!!
Also how can people say Kahn is not European, the guy and his family live here, he only trains in LAW. He has talked about moving their permantly, buit at the moment his permenant residence is in the UK!
That aside AA is probably the most difficult to beat, but Khan is probably the most skilled, with Haye having the better accomplishments!

    Europe is no country. :bart

So you have to ask who is the best German, English, and so on fighter. Everything else is BS.

??? amir khan was born in bolton, england that makes him british. if you are going to use a boxers heritage to define their nationality, then the US which is made up of immigrants doesn't have many boxers either.

The US wouldn't have any boxers. Nor would Europe. Or any people at all. They are all American-based Africans and European-based Africans :nut

By your logic, the US has no champions other than the famous Chief Grand Teepee who was a native red indian to the continent right? He has the WBA super diamond ruby flex native to north america title!

    It has,jepster,it has!

Belarus and Ukraine belong to the Russian speaking world (irrespective of the language you use in daily life). We share the same values, the same thoughts, think alike.
Europe is far away.We even say that we travel to europe when telling our friends or family that we intend to travel to Italy or Germany.
Russia,Ukraine, and Belarus are worlds apart from europe.
We live in a world between europe and asia.
Many of my Iranian friends consider themselves to be europeans because they speak a european language and look like europeans. However,Iran is far away from europe-at least geographically and religiously as well.

I guess it is tough to say who is european and who not.
A lot of people in the english speaking world seem to think that as soon as you are the owner of a piece of passport you are my brother and compatriot. However, this way of thinking is totally alien and weird to most peoples and nations on our globe.
