kessler just wasnt there,i know ward cheated a bit but lets be honest he didnt need to as kessler was just not fighting the way he can.

not taking nothing away from ward as i think he is a decent enough boxer with lightning fast hands, but kessler got to get his **** together for froch or he will be dropped.

p.s. ward is made for calzaghe for thoses who think ward would stand a chance there.
ward has quick single punch or one two but would walk straight into calzaghe`s super fast slapping combinations and ward would lose on a massive UD.

I thing Kessler was better the night he fought Calzhage but he hat the same problems with Ward he had with Joe. He had no gameplan B in both fights. That´s the thing that made Calzaghe such a good fighter that he could change to plan B-F.

    YEAH

KESSLER broke his hand va CALZAGHE.

This Kessler had to hands and was facing a less experienced fighter.

Problem is WARD has more talent....gave a total beatdown of Kessler.

    Kessler was competitive vs Joe.

    Put it this way

WARD would have beaten everyone Joe beat in his career...tells you alot about his opposition.

he is from philly ,will have to explain it to him slowly.
now medicine read really slowly, the kessler (in style and performance) who fought calzaghe, didnt turn up (in style and performance)for the ward fight.
now did you understand what that meant?

wow you know nothing if your judging fighters based on how they fair against common opponenets specifically in this scenario. I honestly think calzaghes performance against kessler was more impressive than wards, and i like ward alot. There are several reasons for this, firstly calzaghe beat a truly prime kessler over 2 years ago whom was an undefeated unified champion, whom had been very active fighting 3to 4 times a year, ward beat a once beaten 2 plus year older version of kessler who had fought 3 times in the last 2 years. Anybody who knows boxing will tell you inactivity is a boxers worst nightmare. calzaghe also won nearly as decisevely most people judges and press row scoring it 8 to 4 or 9 to 3, dirrel was on pace to win 9 to 3 as well. In terms of which victory was more impressives joes definately was, but to say who i think would win between calzaghe and ward based on both of their fights with kessler wouldnt be fair to either fighter, you need to dig a lot deeper to come up with the =answer to that question, i honestly dont know who i would lean towards, possibly i would still favor calzaghe at this point, but at the conclusion of this tournament with ward gaining more big fight experience and calzaghe aging another 18 months i would definately favor ward

by applying the logic of esb bute would thrash calzaghe too because he beat bika slightly easier than calzaghe

    *conveniently overlooking the andrade debacle*

fighter a beats fighter b so he would destroy fighter c... see hopkins/taylor/pavlik for proof of this

    oh this place.

I think there are several factors.

    1) Stylistic mismatch.

    2) Kessler has declined.

    3) Ward is just that good.

Kessler came out of his dressing room looking like he had just lost, Ward came out of his grinning like a ten year old who had just found his mothers cookie stash. I just thought, oh no, not again!

There was something wierd about Kessler, no doubt.

    still dont buy it:

-wards been put on his arse by chumps
-he's had competitive fights with men who are not half the fighters as some of the names on kesslers resume
-he couldnt even finish a past prime pantera who pavlik and abraham decimated

but heyho ward was the better man on the day thats boxing.i wont lose sleep over it.
