While the result made super 6 more intriguing, the way it unfolded will damage the super 6 when we reach the semifinals:

They have yet to decide where all the fights will take place, and now no one wants to have their fighter travel.
Ward could have won fighting clean with a neutral ref, he didn't have to pull the bullSh***.

Had Goossen showed some sportsmanship and not harrassed Kesslers team every step of the way, putting alledged press people in the trainers space, putting a guy in Kesslers dressing room just to annoy them, refusing to give them the weight they were required to give them leading up to the weigh in, trying to get Californian judges, using the biased ref etc, then the other promoters would be more willing to stage fights in Oakland.
Now Sauerland has announced that neither of its fighters will fight there again, and nor should they.

Hennessy didn't do much better with Dirrell either... not sure about Sauerland vs Taylor.

This could potentially bring down the whole tournament.
They should be ashamed of themselves.

That Goosen character looks like a used car salesman. Really slimy looking.

The super 6 reflects modern boxing as a whole: out of the three fights that were fought until now, only one was without controversy, namely Abraham-Taylor.
Froch-Dirrell was a hometown robbery, while Kessler-Ward was controvesial in that Ward and team Goossen used dirty tactics before and during the fight. Don't get me wrong now, Ward was clearly the better man and I think he would have won regardless, still all that BS Ward and Goossen pulled before and during the fight really tainted what could have been a great win. It leaves a bitter after-taste.
We true boxing fans, who don't care about a fighters nationality or race, and who don't care about boxing politics, really aren't getting spoiled these days (there are exceptions, like Pac-Cotto). And I was actually looking forward to that super 6 tournament.

Nonsense. There was no bias refereeing. Butthurt fans need to quit making excuses for their fighters.

This is the first I've heard of any of these tactics and have no idea if any of it is true. I will say this:
You would think that these kinds of problems would come up often in boxing, and that people would solved them a long time ago.

Does that include Froch/Dirrell, or just the one where the american fighter won?

Ward was the better fighter on the day, no doubt. But saying the refereeing was not biased is just.. biased.

Great the semifinals can be in Las Vegas or Atlantic City as neutral grounds certainly not Germany.

That's just because Taylor was KO'd before the ridicculous scorecards could be read.

Funny thing is that the fight in Germany is the only fight that no one on this board has been bitching about :D

How can you possibly say what would constitute 'neutral ground' before you know who the fighters are? :?

The scorecards weren't ridicoulous. As far as I remember they were published and weren't way off.
