What Fighter had a Successful Boxing Career with Virtually NO REAL TALENT???

    To me...Arturo Gatti come to mind. I just never thought that having the Ability to take POWER SHOTS over & over & over again...IS A TALENT!!!

    Good Fighter...Just didn't have ALOT OF SKILL!!

    Ricky Hatton, until he met Mayweather, then it's all been down-hill from there, especially when Pacquiao stopped him in 2 rounds. He basically fought every fight with his hands low - that's going to get you knocked out sooner or later. I really like Ricky's personality, but as talent goes - he's just a good brawler.

    John Ruiz. Outside of being tough, he has no outstanding quality.

    I'd also put Calvin Brock in this category.

    two of the worst examples i have ever seen. Gatti & Vargas were very good fighters with a lot of talent. Gatti was more than a punch bag.

    Ray Mercer did it mostly on toughness and a hard punch.
