Aye, you get the impression that people think this is some sort of movie showdown where the good guy is empowered by his anger to vanquish his foe. It's a ****ing boxing match. Pac isn't going to power up because he's enraged. Maybe he wins, maybe he loses, but he's a boxer, not a superhero.

I ask the question between Roach and Floyd Sr. b/c Floyd Sr. has been openly critical of Roach.

Absolutely huge. The lead up to the fight will be fun. I imagine we will all be waiting for at least 6 months.

Floyd has a baby face, and fights safe but people underestimate the guys strength far too much. I guaruntee when they get close to eachother, Floyd will have his way. He has better footwork and is the smarter and more seasoned fighter. If he clinches with pac, he will put pac where he wants him IMO. Pacs only chance is in and out movement, which will not be AS effective due to Floyds defense

Sure, but why does anyone take anything Sr. says seriously? There's a reason Floyd is trained by Roger now. And Roger generally comes across as the smarter, more professional trainer, and doesn't talk much ****. Floyd Sr. is just a distraction and something for the Floyd haters to latch onto as if he has any real say in Floyd's career or training.

It worked alright for Hagler against Hearns.

What I think you mean is it worked badly for Hearns against Hagler. He gave up his reach and boxing ability to stand and trade with a bigger man why? It wasn't because it was a sound, intelligent, unemotional boxing strategy.

Yea, I think Floyd is actually very physically strong, he just doesn't generally throw hard punches. Even Hatton, who, for all his faults was a strong guy in the clinch, had a hard time getting the better of Floyd or muscling him around, and after the fight he commented on how rough, and how good Floyd was on the inside.

He has been learning the science of boxing since he was a child dude. Pacman was a one handed fighter, has learned most of his skills in the past 5 or so years. Mayweather also has a very deep Amateur pedigree. When it comes to skill, ring intelligence, Floyd Mayweather is a couple levels above him. Thats NOt to say he will win, because Manny's natural talents make up some but Mayweather also has natural talents as well.
