Oh man, GP, this guy Casey is one of the greatest writers...I have a whole collection of them stored as "favorites"...all the guys I can't find articles on anywhere else...Pastrano, Gomez, Jofre, Harada, etc.,..he's an artist in the way he writes.

I dont know what he's done with his old website. It used to have all his articles and his all-time boxing rankings in every division ......... now it's gone downhill, to put it mildly ....

He can breath life into a long dead fighter better than any other writer I know of.

I had the privilege to chat with Mike before. Like everyone here said he's an outstanding writer and solid historian. He does use his imigination a bit on some of his favorite fighters, but I suppose when you can write like he can, that's an earned privilege.

I enjoy reading him. A good writer and a knowledgeable historian, especially in these days of misinformation and the ******ed attention span. He can wax lyrical a bit too much on occasion and doesn't have the journalistic eloquence or prosodic skill of a few others I've read, but his work still exudes enthusiasm, accuracy and a love of days gone by.
