Does anybody else think floyds relatively low workrate will be a problem against pac?

Ricky Hatton did not deter him....Castillo brought it on.... I think the real issue here is the odd angles that Pac delivers from.

absolutely yes, thats how DLH was competitive with Floyd in the 1st half maybe even winning it.

Also Judah winning the 1st half againt Floyd, he wasnt outboxing floyd or setting anything up, he was simply just throwing a lot more.

I think he has always used the workate needed and knows if needs to step it up or not. I had my doubts but i now predict a PBF win by late KO ou UD. Sorry to all the pac man lovers (I love both fighters so dont call me a floydette or pac ****) but i just think he is going into the hardest fight of his life. He looked Great against cotto dont get me wrong but i have my doubts that cotto is/was any wear near his peak.

Just an opinion though. Either way it will be a great fight.

I agree, and i will add i think fighting off the ropes is also a highly overrated skill(Floyd, RJJ, Toney, Ali) the ropes are relatively slack, a skilled fighter should be able to sway back and forth to duck, dodge and counter. Its harder being the guy facing the ropes, youre there to be hit.

Bit of a tangent but just saying.

Its probably Manny's best hope for victory... Just get in there and keep throwing like a windwill... even though very little will land flush, the judges might have to give him the desicion cause Floyd is just not able to get off.

As someone else said, it was working for DLH early in their fight. But Pac won't gass out.

    Agreed.

And this is why Floyd wins the fight. Pacquiao is there to be hit and Floyd is the game's most accurate puncher.

    Game over...

:huhIs Pac not allowed to hit Floyd back as well?

Roach wont agree to those terms.

I also think alot of people aren't giving Pac a chance to land clean effective punches. Floyd has great defense, but is it really better than Hops? We'll see when he has to face a guy whose offense is amazing.

Good point ....but it is not absolute truth that just because of his fighting style he doesn't have stamina..he has an economical and efficient fighting style yes but that doesn't automatically equate to "average" stamina (it may do but you can't make that connect just based on the way he fights)...the fact is we have never really seen floyd tired so there is no reason to assume he has stamina issues...

I think mannys work rate will give any one fits but if any one can neutralize it , its Floyd. I mean baldomere had a pretty good work rate against Judah (ok he isnt manny I get that) but Floyd made him look stupid...different class of fighter I know but Floyd is a master at that ****...

    No.

The higher your work rate, the more opportunities you present to a counter puncher. Floyd fights in a style that minimises risk - thus the amount of haters - therefore if you're not working against him, he picks his shots and slows the work rate down to suit a more methodical picking apart.

Against Pacquaio, he'll have more opportunities to hit without being hit - for everything said about Oscar, he was in good shape and had high work rate against Floyd, Floyd just countered him more.

Exactly. It's pretty clear why he fights in spurts - it's about controlling pace and rhythm not because he can't throw 1,000 punches in a fight if he wanted to.

If Marquez can outbox Pac imagine what Floyd will do? Floyd will be setting him up all night imo
