If they both suck, what does that say about Froch and Kessler? Anyway, I like both of these guys. It's always good to see good young American fighters. I must say though, I was dissapointed in Dirrell against Froch. I thought he won the fight, but he should have been more assertive. There's a difference between effective movement and running; Dirrell ran way too much in that fight. It's hard to win against a champ in his hometown fighting like that.

both are the best pure boxers at that weight class, the other fighters especially the euros guys moslty have good chins and are strong punchers..but they hould get out outclassed everyime.

but with the home advantages and bia judgeing and refering the **** is all to close.i think ward goes undeafeated in the tourny and wins it all.

i live in oakland so it's not even a question. but when ward fights jt, my heart will be torn. i really wish jt can get out of this funk if he continues to fight, but honestly i'd be relieved if i heard him say he's retiring.

It's not the win that matters to me . . . it's fighting style.

Even if these two garner 20 straight wins each . . . if that's gonna be the way they'll fight (as in their last fights) . . . then **** them. It's not gonna get me excited. And I don't care if they are Americans, African or even eskimos . . . I never play the "race" game.

Even if Miranda always loses . . . I'll always chose to watch Miranda than these two. :deal

you go to the fight? ward had that place on fire. i thought he did pretty well getting a crowd in there, at least better than chad dawson. he couldn't fill up 1000 paid seats when he fought glen johnson a few weeks back.

American is a nationality, not a race. Boxing is a very nationalistic sport, there's nothing wrong with rooting for your countrymen. Anyway, I've seen Dirrell and Ward fight plenty of times. They both have exciting styles. Dirrell ran against Stevens, and he ran against Froch. All his other fights, he let his hands go and actually fought. I'm not going to throw him completely under the bus over two fights. I see no problem with Ward's stlye. He's a pretty exciting fighter, who just doesn't have great power. He fought a great fight vs. Kessler. He didn't run, he was a aggressive, and he fought smart. He did do some tactical holding, but nothing outlandish. The bitching about the headbutting is overblown as well.

Ward, more effective in his style. Direll was kind of spastic.

I like both, but I am from the Bay Area, so I have to go with Ward.
