I think the perfect guy out there right now to beat Floyd is Paul Williams. He throws a lot of punches, has great range, is huge size wize, and has good power. He will out work Floyd early and force Floyd out of his shell enough to open him up for his power shots. Floyd has got nothing Williams can't handle, which is why the fight will never happen.

No way, I 100% guarantee you Floyd will never fight Williams. He'll pick Manny, who still might beat him, Shane who might beat him, or Berto who he'll destroy. But I bet you any amount of money he'll never fight Williams. He won't even discuss the fight.
He's such a hype jobe I actually bought into it for awhile. Until around the 7th round of the Margarito fight and it was confirmed when Clottey made him do a marathon around the ring.
Paul Williams Is a rangey active fighter who would give Mayweather all he could handle. He probably is the most avoided fighter between 147 and 160 out there right now.
HA! That's why Williams wants no part of Clottey, Dzinziruk, or probably even Martinez, who HBO likely had to force on him.
I think that throwing one or two punches at a time likely works to his benefit against Pac. Both times Cotto got dropped he was in the middle of a combo. Pac is more than willing to trade punches because he's confident that his will get there first, and he believes in his power. As a consequence he has no problems interrupting the other guy's combo since he knows his opponent will be throwing punches and unguarded. It's not a traditional counterpunching style, but he's gotten quite good at it. One way to prevent that is to limit your punch output to only those shots that you are very confident will land. The normal adage of throw 5 to land 1 doesn't work as well with Pac because he will hit you between numbers 3 and 4 and you'll never get to the one that's supposed to land. Floyd is more than happy to throw one or two at a time and not waste punches to try and create openings, which works to his advantage against Pac, at least in regards to not getting caught by something big and unexpected. Also, Floyd's low left hand isn't a mistake, it's a style. He guards his chin with his shoulder and right hand and lets the left cover his torso. He also keeps it low, at times, to bait the other guy into throwing something that he can counter. Not entirely sure why his use of the jab seems so sporadic though, except that a lot of the time he seems not to need it, and the straight right comes so quickly that the jab is almost superfluous. Why hit him with a Jab when you can hit him with a straight, I guess?
Oh, and to contribute to the thread, I agree with some of the other statements, that guys like Hearns or Forrest would give him the most trouble. Rangy, powerful, and able to keep him on the outside for the most part.
