Starting Boxing next Tuesday

    I've called the gym and they said I should go on Tuesday because it's the beginners class. Any tips? I'm 20, never boxed before.

    No pressure, they're not going to beat you up for doing something wrong lol. They'll just go over it until you gotta it down ;). Enjoy it, real fun :).

    My gym does the same on a tuesday and a thursday best thing i ever did was just get my arse there, after a bit of a break i need to get my arse back there tomorrow! :good

    Mate, take it from someone whos started and stopped and started again, same age as you now, don't worry, enjoy yourself, and you'll be fine.

    Leicestershire mate, the gym is 5 minutes from my house...Heart of England Boxing Gym.

    Iv realised that now mate gunna just start enjoying it again rather than taking it super serious.

    ah a fellow leicester- man, theres quite a few gyms, i used to box at the jungle club BELGRAVE ABA am not familiar with the gym you mentioned, but yeh like the guys have said go there enjoy yourself its all fun

    dont worry if you are not that good at first some poeple get it quicker then others it took 5 months before i had my first fight

    Yea, some guys just "get it". I've seen guys pick up more in two weeks what some guys take 4 months to master.

    Anybody know any gyms in South Wales area that does this sort of thing for beginners?

    How did it go mate?

    I went and "joined" my club, will be starting properly in February because I'm going home for xmas but I'm really excited, top am's and pros there.

    You have to start somewhere and a beginners class is as good as anything you are likely to encounter. Unless there is a boxing subculture where you live, you are unlikely to had much choice in the matter. If you have talent it will soon become apparent to you and everybody else.
