floyd can ask 4 a 60-40 split or even a 70-30 against any other fighter because the other fighter may not be as big a draw. so that makes sense. but against pac, i dont think he can pull such a thing and be justified. right now pac is the hot :fire fighter. u have big names like paul williams and mosley calling out pac because they know that pac is the big draw. pac is as big a draw as floyd, if not bigger.:bbb

They are both big draws, Mayweather beeb a bigger draw first though. This fight will make more money than any fight in history in my opinion.
floyd of course, floyd sold over 1 million sales with a tune up fight pac/cotto sold 1.5 million in a "mega" fight for pacman. people may say it was all marquez fans, but would marquez get 1 mill buys if he was fighting another top opponent no.
At the level they're at, it doesn't matter who's the bigger draw, especially considering that they're fighting each other for their next fights.

From this we can either accept that JMM indeed has a country behind him hence how he can justify picking JMM over Cotto or Shane, however having said that we also have to accept that it proves, Pac>FMJ in drawing power as pac-cotto did more. We cant say that Pac had a better dance partner, because pbf's whole reason for not fighting shane or cotto is because jmm has a country behind him, 11mil mex in US, with their best fighter fighting on mexican independance day. Or we can accept that Floyd was lying back then, that isnt the true reason. We can concede that Cotto>JMM in ppv drawing power therefore Pac-Cotto vs PBF-JMM isnt fair to compare. However his fans will also have to accept that if Floyd was lying about choosing JMM for his drawing power, then he had no valid reason for ducking shane or cotto. So he just outright balatantly ducked them... So which is it Floydettes? Is Pac a bigger draw than PBF but we will agree PBF didnt duck Mosley/Cotto or is PBF a bigger draw than Pac but DID blatantly duck Mosley/Cotto?

Now it's Pacquiao, he got 1.25 PPV with Cotto, a guy FMJ said he wouldn't fight because he wasn't a draw.
It all depends on who is the guy they are fighting. Honestly though, I might have to lean more towards Mayweather. Pacquiao - Cotto beat Mayweather - JMM, but Pacquiao - De La Hoya did not beat Mayweather - De La Hoya. With all that said...people tune in to see Mayweather lose. People tune in to see Pacquiao win. (That statement might be a bit dramatic. Sorry.)

I agree! Which is why I was hoping Floyd's PPV #'s stood up. But PAC did better numbers and took the one wild card from Floyd's deck. He has to accept 50/50 to make this fight. PAC could ask for 55/45 but PAC knows Floyd won't let himself take the lesser share. They don't want to give Floyd any out....not that Floyd would be looking for an out. I think he can beat PAC and will. But it won't be easy and I'm sure he'll be in some trouble before edging out a very close razor thin decision.
if pac were to take a tune up fight against a decent but unknown challenger and put it on ppv im sure it would do better then if floyd did the same thing(money wise of course)
