I voted other even though I think that the loss to Pavlik had something to do with his demise.

But other contributing factors go along with his downfall ...

I think if he continues in the super six that he will bounce back ... I think despite the loss he will still be the dark horse in the tournament.

I think he has the chance to beat his american counter parts and will be able to redeem himself (if given the chance) against Carl Froch !!

he's only fighting one American, Ward. And then Kessler in Denmark. I don't think he makes the flight to Denmark after Ward makes him look silly, that is if he even decides to fight on.

One big let down for his fans. That should sum up his career pretty well.

His lack of stamina was his downfall. Pretty good fighter, not polished but he is a hell of an athlete.

I remember he was taking so much **** from people before he ever lost to Pavlik, the guy got more undue hate than any fighter I've ever seen here.

I think that the downfall of Taylor started when he switch to having Steward train him. Steward was all wrong for Taylor. then thier is some stuff that is going on in his personal life that alot of people have no clue about, I have mentioned it here a few times google the name Anne Pressly and Jermain Taylor to see what Im talking about. With a cloud like that hanging over your head how can you possible get ready for a boxing match.

I think and have always thought that Kessler has been a bit overrated and that the Europeans as a whole aren't as good as they are hyped up to be.

I don't think you can count him out just yet, I think this second round will tell and the odd men is yet to be determined.

Why do you still believe in Taylor?

He hasnt been really successful since the Wright fight, damn near 4 years.. and even that fight he shoulda lost.

It absolutely baffles me, that people JUST cant see the truth... Jermain Taylor never was that good.

Vastly overrated. Never should have been given those gift decisions against Hopkins and Wright, but his HBO connections got him the nod. You take away those questionable verdicts and he's just an ordinary contender - which is all he would have been without the power of HBO!

    Other,

A very good fighter with an excellent jab and good power who has stamina issues late in the fight if he works hard. The reason he did well against bhop is because Bhop tends to fight boring and conservatively and this allowed JT to conserve his energy and make it through the fight.

Changed trainers to many times. He should have stayed with Burns.

10 straight fights with world champions, hall of famers, and all time greats.

I voted for Other. I consider him a very good fighter, who had some great moments. A bit like Buster Douglas in the sense that I don't consider Douglas great but I've seen him perform with greatness at certain points. The obvious being the Tyson win, most notably.

A good skilled fighter. His wins over Hopkins are overrated. He's never done anything else. He is NOT worthy of the Hall of Fame in my opinion. Just like Junior Jones shouldn't be in the H.O.F. for beating Barrera or Vince Phillips for beating Kostya Tszyu.

    My 0.02$.

really skilled boxer, alot of people question his heart but give him his dues, he fought the best, Hopkins, Pavlik, Winky, Froch, Abraham etc.
