Name me some true underdogs who came out of no were to push a champion close or even beat him, plz do not include jim braddock as braddock was a well know fighter who was once a top ranked lightheavyweight, i mean more of a rocky type story club fighter or journeyman comes out of no were to get title shot and you know the rest

Pedro Flores came fron nowhere to push dominant champ Yoko Gushiken and then beat him in the return. He then lost it in his first defence, lost his next fight to future titlist Lupe Madera and hung em up.

Leon Spinks against Ali. I think he had a 7-0 record going into a championship bout.

When Salvador Sanchez first whipped Danny Lopez I was shocked, as I had never heard of Sanchez before. Was he making any kind of waves or getting notice before the Lopez fight?
