Morales had the perfect blend of excellent technique & warrior spirit & he showed it almost every single time out, very rare in boxing history.

For me, he was the most talented of the 4 (EM, MAB, Pac, JMM)

I thought he got the better of Marco in their trilogy (I wasnt a judge tho so what can you do ?)
Im confident he beats Marquez, just as good a technician but better footwork, better chin & hit harder with a higher workrate (in his prime obviously)
He beats Pac anytime up until their 1st fight, 122, 126, 130, not the higher weights tho, Manny is better suited.

All in all, Morales is the most exciting fighter of the last 15 yrs & 1 of the most exciting of all time, shame he was denied a close but deserved win to become Mexico`s 1st 4 weight champ but as above, Im not a judge so wtf am I gonna do ?

Long live Erik "El Terrible" Morales.... there wont be another one in this lifetime.

I thought Morales won the Diaz fight if its any consolation, being a Mab fan i cant agree with that part but its cool.:good

    Morales best fights imo.

    Chavez
    McCullough
    Pacquiao 1-2
    Barrera 1-2-3
    Hernandez
David Diaz(even though he lost it was very close)
    In Jin Chi
Paulie Ayala (looked impressive against a physically over matched opponent)
    Kevin Kelly
    Junior Jones
    Daniel Zaragoza

    Worst performances

    Zahir Raheem
    Guty Espadas
    Pacquiao 3

I agree with your best & worst choices & as we can see, the good far outweighs the bad.

Ps. he still managed wins over Pac & Espadas, Raheem got lucky but no worries, he was never in Morales class anyway, timing is everything in boxing & father time beats all ;)

    :good

He did. In his prime he was an excellent fighter and thoroughly entertaining to watch.

I found myself agreeing with Manny Steward's analysis during the Rahemm fight, i felt Morales balance looked terrible in that fight and it was a sure sign he was on his way down imo.

Watching Erik fight is the male hetero equivalent of watching your favourite porn star ****. You can't help you heart thudding in your chest when they move, and with the porn star, at some point you KNOW you're gonna unzip yourself, scream, and spill nut, it's only a matter of time.

With Erik's fights, at some point you KNOW you're gonna jump out of your seat, scream, and spill beer, it's only a matter of time.

I wish he would have gotten the Hamed fight instead of Marco. Im confident he could have beat Hamed, maybe even stopping him.
