The fact that Pacquiao is better than ALL of those guys negates the point you're trying to make, despite all those pretty fonts and videos. Very well made thread, but like I said, you picked three guys who aren't in Pac's league.

    lol@ pretty fonts....:smooch

But actually these fighters are counter punching southpaws & Manny isnt.....they have a much lower work rate and they are more defensive minded....

the fact that Manny has a high work rate will play into mayweathers favor because Mayweather will not need to set up traps to get Manny to open up like he did vs Corley & Judah........

just look at the way Manny lunges in to attack his opponents..he doesnt work behind the jab and has no defense...also his body punching is avg at best....

Maybe you should go look at my other thread about Manny vs counter punching http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=187603

I actually DID see your other thread. And I commented. And you commented back. I guess my avatar isn't nearly as impressive as yours.

Corley nearly KO'd Cotto and lost to Judah by SD.

Mitchell was a bum by that time. And Judah was mentally weak. But 2 of the 3 were world champs and Corley was probably the best gatekeeper this decade.

Corley had him stunned for 2 seconds and Mayweather was clear enough to keep his hands high and let Corley punch himself out. Judah stepped on his foot. wAtch the tape.

Lil Floyd does have trouble wit Southpaws!! Its evident in his prior matches. In addition to his great schooling, a boxing family, amazing skillset...he is able to adapt. PBF was on the verge of stopping Zab b4 Judah resorted 2 foul tactics. Floyd Jr. is an amazing fighter. He's the TOTAL PACKAGE. He's technically superior to PAC, but not by a landslide.

The Pinoy is mastering his style nd Floyd Jr. cannot emmulate or can any other sparring partner bcuz no one has the PAC MAN's skillset, temperament and 3rd world hunger as the P4P #1 Pacquaio.

What separates the two is PBF's sooper defense nd PAC MAN's hunger n heart.

Sure, he was hurt. He also came back and punished Corley and won the round. In fact he put a worse beating on Corley in that round than in the previous 3. It had nothing to do with Corley being a southpaw and everything to do with Floyd showing no respect whatsoever for Corley throughout the fight, walking him down, trading punches with him, and fighting a very un-Mayweather like fight. And he won, very convincingly. It was also his first fight at 140.

Regarding the Judah knockdown Judah steps over and in front of Floyd's foot and Floyd end up with his foot stuck behind Judah's, with his legs spread pretty far, and down in a crouch, which contributes to him being off balance and taking a knockdown. He clearly wasn't hurt, any more than Clottey was hurt when Cotto knocked him down the with the jab.

Everyone has trouble with left-handed fighters. Floyd is no exception. 98percent of boxers are right handed. So, that is the style that most boxers are comfortable facing. Even southpaws don't like to face other southpaws.
