How about the FACT that "Mayweather doesn't fight welterweights even though he is a welterweight"?

To be honest with you, though you made a nice thread, those opponents that you use for examples (mainly Chop Chop & Judah) are guys that got to Floyd but couldn't keep it up all night. Chop Chop is a horrible finisher & Judah has stamina issues. 2 areas in which Pac DOES NOT have problems with. The fact that Pac is so offensive minded helps him against Floyd. Judah showed what activity can do against Floyd.

Chop Chop showed what a fighter that throws from weird angles can against Floyd. Chop Chop isn't exactly technical. Though Floyd is the closest fighter to being perfect, he's still NOT. Chop's defense is garbage and I'll dare say these days Pac's defense is better than Zab's also. Cotto landed LOTS of power shots on Judah, Cotto didn't land nearly as much on Pac. He either missed or he hit alot of glove or Pac rolled away. Truth is while Floyd has all the tools to win this fight, they will be participating in a FIGHT and anything can happen. Pac winning this fight isn't out of the realm of possibility. Stranger things have happened in the past.

He also fought Corley like he was a bum and traded shots with him. Watch the actual fight and tell me that Floyd was fighting the way he normally does. Floyd showed absolutely NO respect for Corley. You'd have to be a moron to think he'd fight Pac the same way.

Of course, he also beat the breaks off of Corley, Judah, and Mitchell. None of the three were anything like his closest fights. You might as well say that Floyd has a problem with righties because Castillo and DLH gave him closer fights.

I can definitely see FMJ win by UD...but he would have to box a perfect fight and not get caught with a bomb for 12 rounds. Pacquiao's hand speed, power, and stamina will keep him dangerous for the whole fight. I can also definitely see Floyd getting rocked/ KD'd or TKO'd. Pac wont be an easy target, he will have his hands high and with his lower stature Mayweather will have a hard time connecting.

Overall, Mayweather landed 205 of 441 (46%) total punches to 89 of 485 (18%) for Zab.

I said SouthPaws....with speed and power......the fact that Manny throws more punches doesnt mean much, it means he will miss more and get countered more.....his punch out put will be significantly cut down once he finds out that Mayweather wont stand in front of him. Do you really think the shorter Manny with the 6 inch reach disadvantage is going to be able to just jump inside and throw punches vs Mayweather without getting a jab or a hook to the face? Mayweathers right hand will be more of a factor than Mannys Left Hand

I hear all of this talk about Manny is going to make Mayweather fight.....MAKE?....no way the smaller, less defensive & less technical Pac is going to dictate the pace of this fight. Mayweather= Longer Reach, Taller, Can fight going backwards, better job, better body attack....

Manny is only effective if you are standing in front of him. And when you are not in front of him since he is so much faster than the guys he fights he can lunge in with no problem and reach for punches with no sense of defense in mind. That will be his downfall verses Mayweather.

I am not questioning the greatness of Manny or his skills, but this is BOXING not fighting and he will be faced with one of the best technical/defensive boxers ever. Manny has flaws that Floyd will exploit, I dont see any flaws that Manny can exploit.

excellent post. I have most of floyds fight but havent seen the corley one, cant get it anywhere and iv been dying to see it. It looks gud. The best weapon against a southpaw is the right hand and the left hook and floyds are exceptional. He also has a great right uppercut which is very effective against a southpaw. The manny fight to me will be very similar to the judah fight.

Or it ends up being a one sided fight with Floyd outboxing Pacman while Pacman resorts to the Pac of Old and just starts to lunge in with the left hand. Lets see what happens when the guy in front of you dont stand there with a shitty defense like his last few opponents. Mayweather actually gets out of the way of punches and counters... that would be a change.
