post of the year in my opinion my friend. :happy:happy

i am thoroughly convinced that EM would have sent jmm to the canvas and probably stopped him as well.

there is only one erik morales.

In a sense, he already did, in '99 when he and Mcullough upstaged the Hamed/Soto main event. But if he'd jumped to 126Ibs in Jan '99, instead of killing his body that whole damn year to make 122, he could have had his match with Hamed (and his career would have been longer)

I also agree, just as Barrra was the first man to outpoint Hamed, Morales would have been the first to outbrawl him. Morales went an entire EIGHT year as a champion (Dec '97 - Jan '06) without being punched to the canvas, his chin was clearly a lot better than Hamed's vaunted punching power. Hamed couldn't KO Soto, Mcullough or that Spanish euroscrub he fought in his comeback, and even at 122, Morales hit MUCH harder than any of them.

One of my greatest regrets as a boxing fan is that Barrera schooled Hamed in a boaring ass boxing match before Morales could get to him. That fight would have been legendary!

For its one-sidedness.Morales would have schooled him as well.EM was just a better fighter than hamed.Better comp, smarter, period.EM would not have been caught in hamed's off balance bull****.EM was way too smart for that crap.

My point is very clear, Pacquiao was just coming into his own as a prize fighter when Barrera and Morales were on the way out, certainly in Morales' case. I consider a quartet when all the fighters are facing one another, during their respective peaks or close too. Pacquiao was working his way up through the weights, but he hadn't faced and beat the competition the Mexicans had, who...like I said before, were Hall of famers before Manny was even on the map. That IS my point.

damn happy to see a lot of EM fans.

was watching highlights of pac-morales one.

morales should roughed up pac in some rounds, pac even went through the ropes. morales also crackec pac with a right cross during a clinch. just goes to show how tough that pac chin is and how technically gifted morales is when it comes to brawls.

if prime em fought JMM, EM will send jmm to the canvas. but unlike pac, he will dominate JMM with an arsenal of offensive skills and an indomitable spirit.

I thought the MAB-Hamed fight was quite a good fight but I do agree that stylewise we missed out on a potential ATG fight between Morales & Hamed.... its one of my top 5 dream fights that should have happened but didnt.
