Young Jamie is 22 and a fantastic prospect. A British title fight within 18 months is a definite possibility. The word from Breen's Gym is that he is hitting much harder now under Breen and Magee's tutelage than he was in his amateur days.

Good list Mr Slapbangwallop. Big Rogie is the biggest faller in the ratings, but the injury that he complained about after Sexton2 was for real. I spoke briefly to his trainer Paul McCullough a couple days after the contest [Paul is a friend of my brothers] and he insisted that Rogan was not able to spar or train properly for the fight, and has concerns if Martin would be able to compete again due to the extent of this injury.

Brian Magee should pick up the European title shortly, and if given the chance Sinclair will wipe the floor with Rhodes. In actual fact Small who fights tonight is probably the best of the British but Sinky should be able to deal with him also.

There is going to be an announcement soon that McCloskey will defend his European title in the Kings Hall in February or March. So after that maybe a fight with Khan could be on the cards for the Dungiven stylist.

I dont doubt that Rogies injury was genuine but two loses in the space of 6 months was always going to see him take a dip.

I admit I had written Sinclair off to some degree and was probably going to take him off the list if he lost to Coyle. You always said I had him too low and probably think I still do but with another good win or two I could see him knocking on the door of the top 10

They are only Irish champions. Eddie is very limited and wouldn't go far in the states. Paul has already been beaten over 4 rounds by some Puerto Rican window cleaner on a previous trip over there and he'd put you to sleep watching him

Patrick is all the most talented and most exciting of all the brothers and he may have to go on a solo effort if he wants to maximise his potential. The other 2 lads are just too limited to be of any great interest to promoters beyond a certain level

I think Johnny means they would go down a storn in the US marketing wise.

If Eddie is so limited id hate to think what you feel about Kevin O`Hara and Oisin ***an,
The Hylands just need a break and a chance to get fights with the big names but unfortunatly the Big Names costs Big Money

Jamie Conlon's contest next week at the Stadium has been called off due to a shoulder injury he sustained in sparring.

Sweet Pea and ***an are very limited. And yeah SBW i know what he meant about marketing but the point I made is that you can only market lads so far. There has to be level of talent there to push it beyond a certain point.

If they were all prodigiously talented they'd have had no trouble in moving forward in their careers

Name your list of so called world class irish boxers then,
If every Irish fighter had big time promoters they would have no trouble show casing talent and getting big names under your belt

With Hatton more than likely at the fight next week would the Hylands Da not have a word about the 3 lads to him. Even get them over training in Hattons gym with better sparring over there they could well end up getting the better fights. Or the next Prizefighter at 1 of the lads weight try and get them into the Prizefighter series and go on from there like Big Roggie.
