Interesting. You just think Ortiz is to good of a fighter for Pac at Bantamweight?

 

Ortiz would likely have too much savvy for Pac. IMO, judging what Pac MAY have looked like at Bantam is hard, so I tend to imagine a slightly less comfortable Pac that fought Ledwaba turn up.

Enough to beat Ortiz? Not IMO. I think Pac fares better in H2H matches as he moves up.

Too right. Pacquiao's technique, pacing and tuning of his own attributes has improved greatly since his flyweight days. At bantamweight, super bantamweight actually, he was in the middle of an evolution process.

Ortiz, at his best, was a deluxe champion. This would be like putting a lightweight Ray Robinson against a 1978 Roberto Duran.

thumbsup Good post Manassa. Ortiz is my #1 all time bantam his pressure would be to much to a still inexperienced Pac. He would break Pac down(whowasnt the most durable back then) and stop him around the 10th round.
