Am I wrong or did most people here pick Green to beat Tarver when that fight was supposed to go down a couple of years ago? I mean do we all agree that Tarver is a far superior fighter than Roy now after he KOed him and then dominated him in their rubber match?

 

I think Tarver just knew what he had to do to beat Jones, just like Holyfield knew how to beat Tyson. The only time Tarver looked good, was against Jones, then he goes and looks horrible against Hopkins, who Jones schooled many years ago when they were both much younger and better fighters than they are today. Tarver had his 3 fights that made him famous (The Jones Fights) and now Tarver has already been forgotten. Roy still has a much larger fan-base and still is a much bigger crowd draw, getting Pay-Per-View fights rather than just HBO or Showtime fights like Tarver or should I say...Antonio WHO????

Anyone else catch the promo show nothing else matters? hyder is talking about green like he isnt training him on one hand (cant wait to see what greeny's gonna bring) then on the other hes talking about a garbage gameplan that involves reverting to danny's boxing skills primarily with his agression/power as secondary

Obviously Danny can box but his best chance against roy is to bully him as roy tends to be shite against the ropes (excluding lacy fight), obviously they looked at the mundine fight and thought danny was ineffective with aggression, however mundine has a better defence than roy who tends to cover up rather than roll and move against the ropes

Surely a jeff fenech or johnny lewis would be a better trainer for a fight of this size?

Also bar the James toney sparring vid, the other footage i've seen of green sparring makes him look very hittable which equals an easy night for roy

 

Green has a goodnight kiss in both hands...fast and fit...RJJ is gonna be tested and is likely to sit on the canvas atleast once during this fight.
