The best 2 technicians at 168 right now. Ward has a little advantage in accuracy and defense. Bute has an advantage in power. Would LOVE to see this!

Andre Ward is the new Jeff Lacy. Overhyped because of ONE fight.

I'm still not convinced. Kessler looked nothing like he did in previous fights against him.

Bute and Ward have good footwork as well.

Have you seen Kessler's fights ?

Against Ward, he looked nothing like he did versus Andrade, Beyer, Lucas and even Calzaghe. He looked smaller than usual and his punches were not sharp and crisp like they used to be. I still think Kessler had an off night. I'm not saying Ward sucks or anything like that, but the hype surounding him is getting ridiculous.

Agreed. Kessler has never been that good a fighter. Anyone with any boxing knowledge would have picked Ward to easily beat Kessler. Ward is a good fighter, but still raw. Beating an overrated hype job like Kessler whos biggest win was against Mundine, isnt that great compared to what he's gonna accomplish.

If Kessler looked like **** it was because Ward's better skills made him look that way.

I like Ward by decision I think the speed and his ability to give Bute angles to go along with rough tactics will take Bute to a place he has never been before it should be competitive though.

Seems to me a good southpaw will almost always give a good orthodox fighter a tough time. I'd pick Ward by UD over Bute but I admit I'm biased. I'd love to see this match up!

You failed to see the point.

Jeff Lacy was hyped to ridiculous heights back 04-05 because he was an American in division dominated by foreigners, after getting only one good win. Anyone who was around on ESB back then knows how huge the Lacy hypetrain was.

Ward is becoming the same thing. I'll hop on once I see him beat Abraham, but until then I'm not convinced.
