Mosley or Trinidad? Who is Better All Time?

Verdict: Mosley was the Better fighter Historically. Here is why. You could argue Trinidad was a better more accomplished Welterweight then Shane was a Lightweight. Which is true. Trinidad did more then Shane at their peak weights. Both were impressive, but Trinidad reigned longer. But it is not even close when it comes to the them competing at higher weights. Mosley was a far superior Welterweight then Trinidad was a Middleweight. Trinidad did good work at Jr. Middle, but he didn't stay very long and he was exposed at higher weights.

Mosley was also better with Common Opponents De La Hoya and Winky Wright. The both also fought Mayorga and knocked him out. It has to be noted that Mosley is also a smaller fighter then Trinidad. Mosley was better.

Mosley has been better longer, been better against better guys, and all of this evidence even though Shane was the smaller fighter.

It would have been a great fight in 2001 it would have been a pick em fight. Too bad it never happened.

 

To be fair to Trinidad he did not use illiegal wraps like did Margarito. He was accussed of wrapping his hands illegally. I will give him the benefit of the doubt as there is no evidence, only speculation. I will dismiss it just like I did Mosley and Balco in 2003.

The fact is Mosley is better historically and I think it is pretty clear. Both controversies non-withstanding.

 

Shane is the better fighter..period. The evidence doesn't lie. Tito is a great fighter no doubt. Trinidad has a much bigger fan base which can lead to bias. But according to evidence and body of work Mosley is better.
