:good Round 6 was a sleeper, every other round was epic. Round 7-8-9-10. Awesome. Simply awesome. You have something to look forward to every time. Round 7 one of the best exchanges I've ever seen at the end of the round, round 8 has another all-time great exchange at the end of the round, round 9 has an awesome combination from Marco at the beginning, and then it's Morales throwing hoards of power shots, until Barrera lands another 3 punch combination flush. Epic! Then round 10, Morales taking over...seems to be getting the best of Barrera, then Morales is hurt by a three punch combination which has him stumbling. AMAZING! And..that's just the highlights, there's great exchanges and punches landed the throughout.

With Gatti vs Ward, you're just looking forward to round 5, round 8, 9 and 10. That's it.

Round 5 of EM-MAB I was the best round of the entire trilogy, probably followed by rd 11 in fight 3.

Easily the best round of the trilogy, but round 9 is really underrated in their first fight. It's better than round 11 of their third fight. Think about it. Erik Morales is hurt twice in the opening minute, and then he dominates with sweeping right hands and combination's for the rest of the round. You have to give it to Morales, but then with 7 seconds on the clock, he throws a wild right hand that misses, and Barrera lands a three punch combination to Morales face, which would have knocked out an ordinary fighter, and Morales is stumbling again. It's drama at the highest level. You rarely see Erik get hurt in a face, let alone three times in one round.

    Round 9. Awesome.

Probably because Emmanuel Stewart wasn't there to jack off to Morales vs Barrera I. He made the fight sound better than it was, Gatti vs Ward I isn't even in the top 3 Gatti fights.

its got nothing to do with steward, when i first watched the fight it was a different commentator,is your enjoyment or opinion of fights swayed by the talking heads?probably not right?. anyway imo gatti-wrd 1 is in the top 3 gatti fights with rodriguez & robinson 1 edging out ruelas.

We all have different opinions...I just couldn't fathom anyone finding Ward/Gatti I more exciting than Barrera/Morales I.

Gatti Ward has the be my favorite fight, it turned Gatti into a Rockstar. Hands down, Barrera-Corrales nor Castillo-Deigo doesn't compete. It was beautiful.

I'm partial to Barrera-Morales 1 becasue that was in like January 2000, just hit the millenium, so what a bang to start it with!

However, as good as those fights are, & they are incredible, Chacon-Limon 4 & Chacon-Boza-Edwards are still the best fights I have EVER seen!

I wonder if a bout will ever surpass such bouts?

It's not. I'm not a fan of any of those fighters and can tell you without bias Jmm - Diaz was more action packed in terms of competitive action. And JMM's finish was more spectacular!
