Even if that were true it doesn't mean Shogun would necessarily win. Shogun and Machida are different fighters. Even though Shogun can be a very technically sound striker Machida presents different problems that perhaps Anderson couldn't stop but he could still beat Shogun.

I just think of their only common opponent which is Forrest Griffin. Even before he gassed, Shogun never seemed to dominate the standup against Griffin. On the feet with Silva though, Forrest never seemed to have a chance.

Anderson has faster and more powerful hands than Shogun. I know that isn't the only thing that matters in an MMA fight, but I think it will matter in this one.

Tough fight but i gotta go with mauricio shogun. This guy was a beast when he was healthy and he looks like he is healthy again. He has the power to hurt silva and is just as good with his muay thai and BJJ.

Yeah, that must be why Machida's own father, who has actually seen them truly spar (And not some shite for the tv), claims that "If Lyoto continues to improve, he may one day be as good as Anderson!!". As for saying that anyone who believes Silva wins this fight are dumb, perhaps you would be so kind to explain why it is such a dumb prediction? And, on a final note, you managed to type that nonsensical shite whilst (Obviously) having Mauricio's "Big fella" in you mouth!! And the fact that you did so whilst he was blocking your screen is quite impressive (And accounts for your spelling mistakes no doubt)!! I came on here to converse with sensible people but I am more than happy to exchange insults with a ******, so please feel free to continue this!!

:good I agree, Shogun won the fight comfortably imo. I had him winning 4/1 and surely, even the most ardent and blinkered Machida fans (And I am a fan of Shogun and Machida) must have struggled to score more than 2 two rounds for Lyoto!!! I have wondered if they fought seven or nine three minute rounds or seven four minute rounds instead of 5x5 minute ones, would that make scoring bouts any easier, but you only have to look at boxing to know that it probably would not. Unfortunately there will always be controversial decisions.
