    I normally don't give a **** about this award, but I find it amazing that boxing isn't good enough to be shown on the beeb, but they are all too willing to jump on a bandwagon if it passes by. I seem to remember JC and Hatton both tying up 1st and 2nd spots a few years back as well.

    I might even vote. Pay attention to the public, beeb:twisted:. Hope Buncey mentions the double-standards on his next Boxing Hour.

    :lol: I just saw your post in the Choi thread. You'll have to take my word for it, but I came across the news myself - amazingly I have access to the beeb's website like millions of others. I'm not Rob:deal.

    Indeed. I think I might actually vote this year as he has deserved it for some time:good. Steve, you must agree on the beeb's double standards on this issue?

    seriously? he had one fight all year that he "won" against one of worst champs of all time and who only had the belt because of technicalities with the board in Finland. You want the general public to think that abomination of a fight was boxing at its best? If that was the ****, then they might aswell all stick to watch Formula 1 or whatever.

    You know full well that SPOTY is a personality contest and, at this point in time, Haye is big news. That's why he's been nominated.
