Khan, unless Hatton completely changes the way he punches, especially that telegraphed-leaping-left.

    Erm...I'm going for Hatton.

I still think Khan's defence is a few miles away from being able to stand up against world class opposition. Furthermore, no one so far is confident in his ability to fight on the inside. As I still believe Hatton has something left in him (remember it was only 2 fights ago he was smacking Malignaggi around), I think his experience will see him through against a relatively green Khan.

However 12 months or so down the line, I think the result will be different. Khan will have become a stronger fighter by then, especially under the guidance of Roach, and he'd probably be too much for Hatton

i think a focused mentally ready Hatton would overwhelm Khan.

depends whether hatton can get back into proper shape or not
Khan is still quite young and s strong light welterweight like hatton could crush him.i agree with uncle rico in a year or two khan would be way too much for hatton

    Matthew or Ricky?

Khan can beat Ricky, but if Matthew takes down Floyd Mayweather he'd be favourite.

I'd still say Hatton. Khan may have the speed of Manny but he doesn't have the pop or the angles Manny does and he isn't a southpaw. Like Rico said, it was only 2 fights ago that Ricky kicked the **** out of Malignaggi and only 4 fights ago Khan was pushed to the limits against an old Michael Gomez who hurt him to the body and head.

Khan can't fight on the inside, I see Hatton using his height well to get inside and beating Khan up.

I reckon Hatton. I don't think much of Khan's power, a lot of his early finishes are TKOs with the ref stepping in. I also think Khan looks a bit ****-scared whenever he is forced onto the back foot. He didn't look great in the Kotelnik fight on the very few times Andreas decided to even think about throwing a punch. I just don't think Khan could cope with a pressure fighter like Hatton.

Why on earth are you comparing Khan to Paquiao?

It's not really a comparison - it's basically detailing what Manny used to win, and co-incidentally the attributes that Khan doesn't possess.

Pacquiao is capable of delivering fast, powerful combinations..... Khan is as fast, if not faster, but not anywhere near as powerful.

I'd say Hatton. Khan's very good at what he does, firing off dazzling, judge impressing combos and moving away before re-setting, but can't fight going backwards to save his life, and doesn't like it in close or at mid-range.

If Hatton gets himself mentally right and hasn't aged as a fighter with the ballooning (slower footwork etc) then I'd take him by early stoppage after losing the first couple.

With Freddie Roach in his corner, plus his youth and speed, all i see is a Khan KO victory.

I have discussed this at great length in the pub, all my mates think Hatton would rough him up and test his chin but I'd love to see this fight, as i feel id be proved right.

Ricky will eventually find him. Khan doesn't have one punch KO power. Most of his stoppages have been because the ref thought it looked bad. Ricky (even though his punch resistance is down) will be able to whether the storm, back him onto the ropes and hurt him. He briefly had Pacquiao against the ropes before his jaw fell off in that round he was winning by a country mile.

I hate Amir Khan but he is too tall, too fast, and too young for Hatton. Hatton should go kick Marquez's slow ass at 140.
